Like i said in my introduction, i was able to improve on my video editing skills during the covid lockdown, so today i will be putting you through the art of video editing and film making.

The name of the software i use is ADOBE PREMIER PRO. This is one of, if not the best software to use when it comes to video making.
Before i go on, let me give you some important knowledge of video editing.
In simple words, video editing is the process of collating several videos, into a sequence, in order to make a short or long film.
WHAT MADE ME TALK ABOUT VIDEO EDITING?
In the current world, with the growing importance of Computers and Technology, Video editing can never go wrong. There are a lot of artists, clothing brands, Movie industries etc, which are urging Editors like myself, to do some work with them. And i feel that with a little knowledge on Editing, you can never know where it will take you to, especially as the demand for editors keep increasing.

It is fun, interesting, and intriguing to partake in.
It saves me money from paying other editors to do my work
It give me a broad knowledge on the digital world
It is a good source of income for my family and i
It adds to my broad list of skills that i am proud of, and will forever be beside my name
FEW NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF VIDEO EDITING ON MY EVERYDAY LIFE
Takes space away from my System
Can take a huge number of hours to complete a few seconds work
It can shift my attention and focus away from some more important things that i need to achieve.
Just in case you are interested in editing, I worked on something small to give you a little idea on the basics of how to edit
This is the first thing you see when you open your adobe premiere pro app, if you are new, click on new project.
When you do that, You proceed to click on file, in the top left corner, what this does is to import all the videos and pictures you want to use in your film, you then drag them into the sequence panel and that adds them to the sequence.
If you look at the bottom left hand corner of your screen, you’ll see this, and this is the section where you can add effects and transitions to your video, to make them look cooler and better. You do this by clicking on the effect you want to use, and drag it on top of the picture or video in your sequence.
When you are done with your video, you then go back to the file option at the top left of the screen, and you click export or you press ctrl-m.
It is advisable to use H.264 as the format, and Vimeo 720 HD as the preset.
Then you click on export.
HOW I HAVE MADE MONEY FROM VIDEO EDITING, TO GUIDE YOU
I personally started charging low from the beginning because I was still in my early stages of editing, back then, it was N2500-N5000 ($5.5-$11).
I would advise not to make your price is too high, in order to attract customers. This way, all things should work together for your good.
HOW I HAVE MARKETED MY SKILLS, TO ALSO HELP GUIDE YOU
If you want to be a successful editor, I would advise you to make it known, because the more people that know you do it, the higher your chances are of getting jobs. Such ways in which this can be made possible, are by posting your work regularly in order to get more views and this way contracts could come calling. You can also advertise yourself by creating accounts on different social media networks with your name and some of your works as well, to get some more demand, reputation and popularity in the business.
HOW EDITING HAS IMPACTED MY LIFE FOR GOOD!
Editing has changed my life in a few ways, but what i want to talk about briefly is just how it has made me interact with a few unique clothing brands for edits which I never thought I would be able to,
It has also been a good source of income over the last one and a half years, which I’m really proud of and I am only hoping for nothing but good things to come in the near future.
