OCD DAILY - Issue #222
Welcome to the 222nd issue of @OCD Daily!
Issue #222 highlights content from ten (10) Steemit Content Creators! The OCD team continues it's search throughout Steemit to find you the undervalued gems, as provided by relatively new users.
Today our curators found you ten new pieces of original content! We strive to find works that are provided by newer Steemit users, that may not have the audience which their quality content deserves. @OCD strives to help provide that audience, and intends to showcase Steemit users who put in the extra effort to create creative, original content.
A curator will FIND a piece of work (typically from newer users), within 24 hours that piece has been submitted from the curator to the @ocd team, votes tallied and the pieces with the most votes are placed into the compilation.
We encourage you to visit these blogs and to show these great Steemians your support and encouragement.
All of the content as chosen by our curators is undervalued, but there is always one piece that rises to the top. That piece is seen as universally appreciated and valued making it OCD’s Top Nomination of the Day.
I’m really happy this post made it to the top. It is an entry to the Sndbox Summer Camp contest, which is setting very high standards for content creators. It is a video documentary from @akbarrafs about the people in Mane and Pidie District in the Aceh Province, Indonesia. They are fighting the government and some companies to preserve their forest. There is a lot of money involved and they have the law and reason on their side, lets hope they can keep their forest. We also thank the author for pointing out this problem. And please take a look at the video, it’s a good one.
What do you do when you’re traveling and it rains? The answer is very simple. You shelter into a restaurant and eat. Just like @kilathecla did it in her last day in Kuching. She tried a new place called Yes Cafe for brunch and end up with a wide variety of cute dishes. Like this piggies I’ll bet you won’t dare to bite.
Now it is time to walk with @lynncoyle1 through Playa del Carmen, México. On her post we can see some street art, huge trees coexisting with the town, the beautiful turquoise sea, a bunch of not so wild life, an amazing sunset and some bananas, no publication is complete without them. Playa is a special place to be in, it’s a weird mix of a town, a full service tourist destination and people form all over the world trying to chill out and party at the same time.
The next post will be a delight for all Architecture fans. Our friend @kimzwarch shared with us a really project in Hanoi, Vietnam. It's about a literally cool coffee shop made out almost entirely of wood with a lot of open spaces, light and ventilation.
Let’s introduce now an interesting project from @vikinghammer. He set himself as a goal doing justice for bands that should not have been forgotten. Some of them helped shape the music as it is today and didn't get the recognition they deserved. More or less like ocd but with music bands. This is the first one of his series and it’s about Sir Lord Baltimore a lost heavy metal band.
I don’t know if I should call @evilhippie, the author of this post, a very skilled artist or a guy with super powers. Just look at this miniature Inquisitor designed, casted and painted by himself. It is just amazing, and feel free to browse his blog there’s a lot more of this over there.
Now we share another entry for the Sndbox Summer Camp contest. It is a documentary from @vadimlasca about his daughter. I am not a judge but I have to say it: to be a professional is to cheat in this contest ha ha. Well not really, I’m just kidding. But you can see it in the quality of the video the great talent of the author and also of his daughter. We wish you all the best in the contest.
If you’re in Philipines wondering what to do in the next Easter holidays you can listen to our friend @marytser15 and try the Casiguran Province. Although the journey driving from Manila it’s a little bit long, the views on the road are worth it. And at the end you’ll be rewarded with beautiful beaches and a waterfall where you can swim.
It is a nice Saturday, perfect to get your hands a little dirty and get that ASUS Tinker Board a pimp out with a bootable Devuan. If you’re asking why would I do that? Well it is simple. Because with the help of the next post from @not-a-bird you can.
Finally we share a 2My 2018 - This is my Hobby” post from @paigegirl, who enjoys a lot creating cute and colorful dresses for women and girls. She has been doing this for 12 years overcoming failures, dissatisfied customers and dresses ruined. But she kept practicing and now see the results.
We hope you were able to take away something different, fresh, and new from these content posts, as provided by the @ocd curators.
