I read a lot of books. I started at the age of 23, never read anything before.
But in the last 3 years, I have read hundreds of books. And I feel more educated now than I could have studying any degree.
In fact, I am a mechanical engineer, but studying all these books made me more educated than my degree.
This year, some of my favourite books were Atomic habits, Can't hurt me, Talk Like Ted and 48 Laws of power(reading as of now).
I am planning to read Mastery by Robert Greene next. The best thing I have observed after reading all these books is that how they changed my thought process.
In 2017, when I started reading, How to win friends and influence people(my first book), I was astonished by that book.
In 2018, I was addicted to them. And since December 2019, I can see how all this knowledge is shaping my thoughts. I can see why things are messed up in my life clearly.
Started being more productive. Build up more confidence. And the best one is started talking to strangers(I was a big time introvert, would die instead of talking to a stranger).
If I ever achieve anything big in my life, it will be possible only because of the books.
Hello! I can relate to this. I started reading since I was a child, found great refuge in books. And it became a wonderful obsession. I could not let days pass and not read. It became a part of me. I love reading.
Once you start reading and feed your mind with quality stuff, habits change. Mentality changes. I felt it too. I feel it every day. I think the same: books will help me achieve greatness, I am very confident about that.
Robert Greene is very good, I have read him. Carnegie too. You have good taste. I will check the other books, thank you for reading!
This post of yours has made all your future posts more interesting for me.
It's good you share content everyday. More wisdom for me everyday.
Oh that's kind of you to say. I appreciate it! Have a great day!
You too.
