Sun dried cherry tomatoes (an experiment)

in #ocd5 years ago

Hello everyone!
Today I went to the beach, then worked for a while and then I decided to try and make my very own sun dried tomatoes.
I found a very easy way online so let’s see how it goes
Today is the 1st day and it is supposed to take 6 to 7 days in total

Day 1

We gather the tomatoes, wash them well and cut them in half

Then we season then with salt. (Better the thick salt if you have it)

After you are done, let them in the sun with a veil on them so that they remain clean without insects on them.

Important

At night you need to take them back in the house because they should not be out in humid environment

Updates

I will update you in the next days and hopefully I ll have some new self made sun dried tomatoes soon!

Looks beautiful dear. I want to eat them 😊

Interesting. Curious to see how it'll turn out. Any way of doing this process in climates with..not so much continuous sun?

Hi! Actually yes, you put them in the stove at a low temperature. (50 or 80 degrees)

Lovely sunset by the sea! How lovely to be smelling and hearing the sea!

Good luck with the project! I believe they'll come out great in the end! 😊
