This is my first blog post ever in my entire life. I never thought my life would be as interesting so I never bothered writing about it. But here I am, enjoying every part of it.
Here we go..
WHO IS ADRIAN JAMES?
My name is Adrian James Bartolome and I'm from the Philippines. Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines to be exact. I am a singer/songwriter, independent music producer, and an assistant voice coach together with my wife (She's the voice coach). Her name is Marian.
My wife and I form a singing duo called James and Shine and we do online music shows for corporate and private events. We also do vocal tracking/recording for commercial use.
I am also a dad to our little one and I love every moment of it. His name is Honest. Isn't he cute?? I think all babies are equally cute.
And it's one of the reasons why I can't seem to finish this post. I enjoy parenting more than any full-time job. The pay is priceless.
But reality hits hard. The pandemic hit us hard. We don't get music projects and gigs as often as before and we need to earn a living for our growing family.
HOW DID I DISCOVER HIVE?
I had searched for a way to invest in crypto gaming and set my budget to $30 max for a start. Yes, call me cheap. But I can't risk anything more than that. I have a family to raise and we don't earn much here in the Philippines.
Unfortunately, there are limited options for a small investment.
dCrops is the exception. Their starting investment is affordable. My $30 would seem to go a long way. And it's also perfect for my time constraints as a full-time parent - plant, click, harvest, click!
I read about the game and it's ecosystem. Then I discovered Hive. It's not just about games. It's a community of artists, creators, appreciators, and curators that reward quality content.
I want in!
WHAT KIND OF CONTENT DO I WANT TO CREATE?
Music. I was so happy to see a very healthy music community on Hive - budding artists, the young and the age-less, trying to find a place where they can bloom to their full potential with the community's collective guidance.
I want to produce and contribute music that anyone can enjoy and in the near future sing and learn some songs from different parts of the world through collaboration with other artists. That would be fun! Hoping everything will go well in this new horizon.
