Operation Curation Delegation is looking for 5 more english curators!

in #ocd7 years ago (edited)

OCD is back looking for some more active curators for english posts. We have recently had a few curators go inactive and there has been a huge demand to join OCD so we wanted to give more manual curators a chance to make their curations more powerful while at the same time helping out newcomers and the platform.

OCD is a curation project that strives for transparency and to support and reward authors that haven't received the attention they deserve. We have been running for over 3 months now and there are a total of 25 active curators in the team finding and curating posts of all kind, different languages and focusing on newcomers. We incentivize our curators through the daily compilation posts to do a good job but make sure to reward the original authors around twice as much.

What your daily activities are as a curator

  • You search for original content posts (no plagiarism) that are undervalued (under $10 rewards) and nominate them for curation on our discord channel.
  • You vote on other posts by the other curators in the team to choose which ones make the daily compilation post. (also on the discord channel)
  • You have the chance to author the compilation posts for a full week and receive added rewards for them.
As a curator you also receive 1000 SP delegation with which you only have to vote on your nomination and the daily compilation posts of OCD. Bear in mind though that abuse with this delegation will get you removed from the project.

Reward distribution

  • 25% of the daily SBD is divided among all active curators, 25% to the ones that get their nomination chosen for the compilation post.
  • 50% of the SBD goes to the curator authoring the compilation posts that week.
  • 50% of the SP remains with the account but you get a stake in it depending on your nominations and activity. When you decide to leave the project you will receive your share in Steem.

We are looking for 5 curators!

Use this post to write your application to become a curator in our team, feel free to include which specific genre's of posts you would like to focus on as a curator and why you are the right person for the project!

You have time until this post pays out to apply and we will announce our decision after that.

Thanks for reading and good luck!

TLDR - I spend hours looking all over steemit reading all sorts of random articles and looking for good people to follow. I spend most of my time in #teamaustralia, #thealliance, and #steemsilvergold, but am always looking for new tags with good content. I would use the SP to help struggling minnows I follow who consistently create odd, but great content and give back to the communities I'm in through increased upvotes and SP delegation. I'm not good at programming, writing, leading, drawing, or many other things that seem to be valued here on steemit, but I am great at encouraging others. This is what I'll continue to do whether or not I'm chosen.

Why I think I would make a great curator. I eat, live, and breathe curation. I have 3575 posts in the past 4 months or so on steemit and read a lot of articles a day. I would say 80 - 90% of my posts are from commenting on other peoples posts and of those 75% are on unique posts (not just commenting on the same post over and over again).

I am pretty active in #teamaustralia, #steemsilvergold, and #thealliance. I'm always looking for new tags to cruise around in with great content. I enjoy reading about gaming, sports, steemit, crypto, programming, conspiracy theories, beer reviews, blogs, collecting, history, reviews, inspiration posts, and people volunteering or helping others. I know it seems like a lot of randomness, but am confident you'd find all these topics in comments I've left over the past week or so.

I've also taken part in #steemwars and #motu here on steemit, but missed #steemlords due to getting married and family vacation. If I do get accepted to be a curator I'd use the increased income to first delegate some steempower to @mrsquiggle (the #teamaustralia bot) and then to @silvergoldbotty (for #steemsilvergold). I've already loaned some sbd to @bellyrubbank who is one of the bots for #thealliance.

I think @gniksivart would be a great curator I can't believe how active he is reading and commenting. I rarely find a post where he hasn't commented and had a meaningful interaction with the writer.

It's easy to come up with good comments when you're commenting on great content!

great application, you've summed up your steemit journey wonderfully... all the best!

Thanks so much. Fingers crossed!

You would be perfect in that role @gniksivart ! You are always commenting and work hard to make Steemit a better place. I hope you get it ;).

I think you would be absolutely perfect for one of these spots. I hope you get it. Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for the support!

Why do I all of a sudden feel like I am in Star Wars?

You deserve a spot here

Greetings @acidyo Do you think Steemit has what it takes to be one of the top 10 global social media platforms?

We do! Are you willing to help us do what it takes to fix steemits vulernabilities so we can bring this platform to the mainstream?

I represent an media alliance with over 10 million followers. We see that steemit needs a few small, but very important changes to make it to the next level.

I'd love to curate for @ocd! Posts that draw my attention tend to focus on economics, business, poetry, and fiction. Why these genres? I'm a moderator of the poetry workshop on The Writers' Block, am currently writing a novel, plus I write a lot of non-fiction regarding corporatism, lobbying, and Austrian economics. I'm also always on the lookout for writing that blends story-telling with economics - it does exist! And what better way to capitalize on the fact that I'm on Steemit and Discord literally all day every day than to put that time to even better use curating! Thanks for considering me.

@geke would make a great curator, she really is on Steemit/Discord all day. She also has a great eye for quality posts and actually spends time reading through others works!

thanks @mk40 😃

Its so good to hear of people who actually read ones articles. Hope you make one of the positions

You read, and you write, The writers and storytellers need more people to view their work especially the ones who have joined in the last couple of months. ex: @cizzo, @josephlwiess, and @aksounder, all of whom are fantastic writers/storytellers. If you are selected I hope you take a look at these 3.

I've met @cizzo and @aksounder already, through The Writers' Block, but haven't run across @josephlwiess - thanks for the heads up!

i knew you would be a good candidate, i have seen some of your remarks. @josephlwiess is currently writing/sharing an historical fantasy story. Castle, Knights, and magic. pretty good read so far.

I was looking at a tool I heard about to find mentions today and... Dang! Little did I know you're out there in the Steemit community talking me up! You are a Rockstar! Thanks buddy. Wish there was a better way to be aware of when someone mentions you out in the wide world of Steemit.
I also vote for @geke to be any kind of curator. She's pretty awesome and The Writer's Block is a great place.

I really enjoy reading the stories you and the other Authors/storytellers are putting out there, so when given the opportunity, I plug away for all of you, trying not to go too far overboard, so just a few at a time.

@geke has my full support for @ocd curatiton.
Smart, interested, engaged, knowledgable and likeable. 100% for geke!

I want to participate. I am interested to curate quality articles and value-added on readers' knowledge. I think these genres deserve additional curation: article, education, psychology, and philosophy. I see some good articles from new users but low rewards. I realize how hard it is to write an article. To avoid plagiarism, I will check back the articles to be curated.

Am I the right person in this project? I am currently focused in these fields. Thank you.

Good luck for you!

I support you become an English Curator of OCD. Good luck!

I support you become an English Curator of OCD. Good luck!

I am currently on the road, hitchhiking my way to Steemfest with @anomadsoul, who has also made me aware of this post. As I don't have my laptop with, I'm writing this comment from my phone (so I'll keep it concise).

When I started on Steemit, I remember reaching out to @acidyo on the Steemit.chat, I didn't know at the time directly contacting whales was "not done". But @acidyo was patient with me and nominated me for OCD, and it got the top nomination that day! For me this was the first time a post made over 1 SBD. With over 20 SBD, it made me feel my content was appreciated, and it made me work harder to keep improving my own content.

As the creator of Steemitworldmap and a vivid traveler, I am already working on a daily #traveldigest. This doesn't focus on minnows, but often times minnows are being featured as well.

On a daily basis I see a lot of incredible travel content, which I feel is one of the bigger subjects where the content is often undervalued (with the exception of a few known authors). As of such I would like to nominate my @steemitworldmap account to become a curator for OCD.

If you want to check posts selected by the Steemitworldmap team (which I am leading), I would again kindly ask you to check the #traveldigest post.

I personally see this as a win-win-win situation (three wins indeed): OCD gets amazing travel content from minnows, the minnows get more visibility and rewards than I can currently provide from the Steemitworldmap account and third the Steemit Worldmap would get more visibility, which hopefully in the long run brings more travelers to Steemit.

I vouch for Martibis, he is one of the most comitted people with helping out the community and his steemit world map idea is amazing. Hands down to this mate.

I love steemit world map! This is a great idea and Martibis picks out some great content in his travel digest.

Nice initiative SteemitWorldmap , Bravo!!

Hey, congratulations! You made the team. Please contact me under the same username either on steemit.chat or discord for an invite to our discord channel.

Hey @acidyo and OCD team,

If you are looking for an active steemian with deep ties in the community and a passion for building steem to its full potential... I might be the right guy for the job.

I joined Steemit on January 4, 2017. Since then, I have worked my way up from the bottom. I participated in 15+ weeks of the Open Mic contest. In the process, I received Curie votes early on, learning the power of curation to incentivize talented new users.

I believe that steem can (and should) become the backbone of the social web. We can work together to create a new paradigm of funding for creators and thinkers everywhere.

My focus will be on music, art, and philosophy posts. My personal curation style is to focus on enjoyable content - I'm looking for posts that could bring users to our site because they'll love the content. A few examples of established steemians that have great content right now in my eyes are @jaybird @dimitrij and @winstonalden - and there are many more besides.

I believe that my current status as a "full-time" steemian, spending 30-40+ hours per week here, makes me a great candidate to join the OCD ranks.

One other thing I want to mention: I am the #469th highest ranked Steemian by reputation. I think this is a sign of my dedication and deep connection to the steem community :-)

Best of luck in choosing your new curators, and THANK YOU for working so hard to contribute to the steem ecosystem. Cheers.

I had no idea you're participating, I'm glad you're doing so, I hope you get in ;)
"Full-time" steemian, I may steal that, I fall under the same category, lol :)))

Oooh! I've been waiting for this post! I would love to be an OCD curator, I really like the project and the people involved. I'm looking for ways to be more involved in steemit, and I know it's hard to get exposure. I'd love to help new users with quality content be more successful so they have the motivation to stay and make this platform better. I think funny/entertainment, yoga and history posts need more light and I would want to focus on that. Everybody needs a laugh!! ..and history, well and yoga of course!

Would love to see more yoga curation :) Great application, your choice of content is diverse. all the best!

Well I would also present myself as a curator because I see many good posts but I don't have much voting power to reward them.
I want to focus on just life. This is the field I like to read about the most and there a lil chance of plagiarism in it.

Hey, @ocd team! I would love to be considered as a curator, I have been on the platform for a little over five months now, and I think it is time to give back as the community has given so much to me and it could be my way of thanking and encouraging talent. I do mostly fiction myself, but I also love photography and people writing genuine posts about their thoughts and experiences. I have seen so many great writers go unnoticed.
I am also a part of Minnow Accelerator Project(MAP) group where we try to help new authors and organize a friendly competition between fresh talent, to bring more people together and award for originality as it is so easy to get discouraged when you do not get noticed.

I have seen some of the comments on the Authors/Storytellers pages, you would be excellent choice to bring attention to some of the newer Authors/Storytellers on steemit such as: @cizzo, @josephlwiess, and @aksounder, they are all new to steemit in the last two months.

Thank you for bringing me new options to check out!
It is very sweet that you are trying to bring other creators exposure :)

Good to see you applying! All the best :)

Thank you! I think it is time I did more! :)

Good luck lindahas. I trust you will do it with perfection.

Thank you, I hope so! :)

I vouch for Linda, i trust her criteria and comittment to the plattform.

Thank you!

Hi! I'm very interested in the job! I already browse Steemit daily looking for new opensource projects (on Utopian), and travel and tech related topics.
I'm also a dev and could come up with some tools to make curation easier if needed.

I would like to be a part of the team to support the photography community here!! I have been running my #portraitcontest for 19 weeks now and have seen SOOO many fantastic photographers here get only a few cents on some amazing art!!! I would like to support the #photography community and I think I would add a different perspective to the OCD Team!

Hello @acidyo

Curating articles on Steemit is something I use to do on a normal basis before although very strictly because I cherish my SP and I won’t just upvote your work because you are a friend or family but rather because I can see something special and appealing in your post. As much as I like encourage minnows like me I like encourage those with quality posts that are plagiarism free more because I believe they know what they are doing by investing their time, ideas and resources on this great platform diligently with full responsibility.

Most of my contributions on Steemit are mostly on poetry and homesteading because I love to be creative in my own way and also love anything related to nature and human environment and that’s exactly where I would like to focus on if selected as an OCD curator although I also know about anything related to gaming and also love making contribution on the growth of various Steemit related projects and open source projects.

I`m a finalist in a Nigeria University with good English background and very active and consistent on the platform (judging from my reputable being just a month old who average a post per day) and I have being involve in a lot of growth project before and I’m willing to give my very best to find those hiding articles on Steemit with full transparency.

I promise never to misuse any delegated SP and use it for the glory of OCD only and also be a good and versatile scout who will unearth rare gems for OCD daily.

@holabisi

oh man...i'd LOVE to be a curator focused on any of three areas: fiction, art, or music. i pretty much scour those categories as is and this would totally force me to really pay attention to more of the minnow posts rather than my normal go-to posters.

That would be amazing to be a curator!! I'm still learning Steemit and have only posted maybe a dozen times, but I see so much undervalued material here. I noticed I'm drawn to inspirational, philosophical and self-help subjects personally, as well as the journeys and stories of people who are living a powerful, passion filled life. Maybe a little of the usual fiction, art and photography, but not as interesting to me currently.

I know I probably won't be picked but I'd also like to add that I am a stay at home mom and can make the time to curate. I currently spend at least an hour and a half on Steemit early every morning, and more throughout the day. I often read the posts that come from #25 votes plus on the @dropahead discord channel, and get notifications for each post on my phone. I would certainly find a lot of great material. :)

Well,as an artist I think I can curate the art or drawing sections,I see many undervalued artists here and I wish to help this original content creators to stimulate them to create more great content,I'd like to be a part of this

Hey @acidyo,

I love OCD and how it digs through all the steemit content to find the gems. I was featured in an OCD post when I first started posting on steemit and I remember feeling very excited that there were people out there that saw and liked my content when it seemed like it was getting lost in the cloud of posts. I would love to be an OCD curator and help with the process of finding all these hidden gems and make someone's day. Steemit unfortunately has a lot of content that is posted more for the quantity vs. quality. I would really like to help combat that by shining a light on the minnows out there who are pumping out great content but have a small audience.

My personal interests lies in food and travel and that is the content that I like to post about on Steemit. Naturally, these would be the topics I'd be most interested in curating for as well. I think I have a lot of knowledge on both food and travel from my diverse background and interests. I am from Toronto and I lead food tours in the city. Additionally, I occasionally write food articles for my company's blog. When I get a chance, I also love to travel, specifically backpacking solo. From my travels and growing up in such a multicultural city I've learned a lot about food from around the world. I also love photography and love seeing what people can capture as well as experimenting with different angles myself. I wanted to share a little bit about my own personality so you could get a sense of who I am.

I hope I can be a part of your OCD team! Best of luck to all the other applicants out there. :)

Good day!

I'd love to be part of the team! As a content creator myself, I highly value an authentic, creative, and well-thought content. I would like to focus on art and photography because those are my interests and what I am confident of curating. Curators helped my posts get noticed, and I want to give back.

I hope you consider me. And you can check my articles and resteemed articles if you wanna see what I can contribute to the team.

P.S. Thank you so much for upvoting some of my articles, @acidyo!

Hi @acidyo,

I would like to apply to become one of the curator in your team. Thank you for this opportunity for us to contribute to the Steemit community. Presently, I read a lot of articles in these categories:

  1. life
  2. travel
  3. steemit
  4. photography
  5. culture
  6. writing

These are my 6 areas of interest, but I have noticed a lot of undervalued posts in the culture section with great articles that never get voted for more than $5 or $10. It is ashamed.

If this is an area that is lacking, I would certainly like to take part to curate more of these content for the Steemit community to enjoy.

Rosa

hi @acidyo..
I would like to participate, I was a graduate scholar master telecommunications and Informatics and the computer I'm interested in curatorial on articles related to the field of Informatics, such as computer networking, linux and regarding technology in the field of telecommunications and networks, I see a user with the tag network and linux have started a lot. and I see some articles have a high knowledge and values there are also plagiarism.

and according to you whether I am right for this part?

I would love love love to be a curator! I currently work as a poetry curator for @muxxybot, a mini-mod for the poetry channel at MSP/PAL discord, and as a mod at the poetry channel on @thewritersblock's discord. This regularly gives me access to up and coming steemit authors who not only write great poetry but others who also write well-written, thoughtful posts. My favorites are artists, creatives who work in any and all types of media, and people with big personalities. Curation is so important to steemit as a whole- giving good content a chance to be seen, to be valued, while plagiarized and spam posts languish in obscurity. I'm grateful to the OCD and to you @acidyo for what you do for the community. You bring so much value to our little experiment!

hello @acidyo

firstly i will appreciate the OCD community for bring up this opportunity. this have really been giving many newbie a lot of opportunity and lot of motivation.

i will love to be an english curators so i can have the opportunity to be able to help and motivate the newbies and also the minnow with plagiarism free content because i know it is not an easy task writing a good content and you later have nothing on it. this usually make many newbies relent on their good works but we have to keep encouraging them due to the fact that

Rome was not build in a day

i will be glad if am giving this opportunity in helping the whole society at large not for my selfishness but in helping others. i know it is not an easy task doing all this but with the help of God it will be done. As an utopian.io moderator getting good content is something am trained to do. and i really hope i can help the community more with this opportunity.

Thanks a lot

Hello my dear Acid!

I would LOVE to become an OCD curator because I've found quite a few newbie authors on Steemit whom I think definitely deserve some extra loving and exposure.
Plus after your kind delegation to me which I am thoroughly enjoying and putting to good use (in my opinion), I've gotten a taster of what it's like to support people on here with more than just compliments. And I really love being able to do that!
Seen as I spend quite a significant time on here due to my not really having to do much for my job, I can really dedicate my time to filtering through, finding newbies and being a great curator!
I'd especially be sifting through the categories #life #philosophy #pyschology #selfdevelopment #inspirational #motivational and #authenticity.
Not only because I absolutely love these topics myself but because I know that amazing quality is being written under those tags but it's not being seen.

I'd be an mega proactive participant in the OCD Discord.

I am looking for ways to really serve the Steemit community and I feel that being an OCD curator would DEFINITELY be that!

Thank you for bringing this opportunity to my attention!

Big love,

Ash

This is what I've been waiting for hope I'd be able to join and be chosen as a ocd curator. I've been manually searching through others post and trying to look for newbies post that I think were undervalued. If you will choose me I would like to concentrate on three specific areas arts, gaming reviews and engineering articles. Hoping youll consider my application. Thanks alot :)

I would like to curate. I'm the project leader of @minnowmentor, which is a discord channel seeking to promote minnows. I'm a lead member of the #promo-steem and #promo-uk team, and we actively go out and encourage people not only to use steemit, but also to invest as well. (last week we travelled to the London Investor Show and spoke about Steemit as an investor case). I would love to be part of this, and happy to talk further about it. Please come and talk to me.

Thanks @acidyo for this wonderful opportunity.

I'm a minnow myself who always look out for quality contents to read in other to gain more knowledge. There are a lot of quality contents on steeemit that are undervalued due to low recognition.

I spend a lot of time on steemit, on an average 6 -8 hours daily, reading and checking out quality content. Most contents do not get the neccessary attention they ought to, but if I'm been choosen as a curator I will make sure I sort out original and quality contents to be curated in other to encourage the authors to write more quality posts.

I will focus on science, poetry and geology genre because when I was doing my research I found out that quality contents are been posted on this genres and the authors get little or no rewards due to low recognition. I also engage others on their posts by always leaving a comment when I read their post.

Some weeks ago, I won a contest and was delegated a little SP, with the little $ my upvote is worth I have been able to add value to quality contents posted by minnows. Helping newcomers get rewarded for their quality contents is my utmost desire. Even with my little SP i always go out in search of undervalued quality contents to upvote, in order to encourage the author to do more. Becoming a part of the OCD team will give me more privilege to help the newcomers.

I'm a member of @africanunchained where newcomers and minnows are educated and encouraged to write quality and original contents and we are really doing well with that. With just some few weeks on this community, I have really learnt alot that will help OCD move forward and also in helping authors get rewarded for their original and quality contents.

@hornblende

Hello @acidyo

Helping minnow on the platform is one thing I have always want to do because as a minnow I struggle a lot even with all my quality posts then, I was never noticed and barely get close to $3 per post but with great determination I survived and since then I have always have it at the back of my mind that anytime am chance and privilege to help minnows and newbie’s I will do it by helping those that are working day and night without any form of plagiarism and with all transparency so as to encourage self develop posts more on the platform.

Although I'm just a month plus on Steemit but my blog speak much for me, I`m very active [at least 12-15hours daily] and strive a lot to read and curate quality and plagiarize free posts even with my little SP and I have also strive to move up the ladder [reputation-wise] within my short period on the platform.

I love writing much on motivation, poetry and homesteading especially motivation and homesteading because I’m a town planner by professional and that has really help me to dish out quality posts on homesteading and my prefer genre`s if I’m privilege to serve and give back to the community will be homesteading, motivation and poetry because they are something I have being writing on and understand for a very long time.

Being an OCD curator will surely be a dream comes true and at the same time a way to give back to this great community and find those baby whales, those that are working tirelessly but are earning very little in return and I promise to that without any form of favourism and also to abide by the rule and regulation of the OCD team.

@nuges

Cheers, Alex
Cheer

very interesting life experience and jobs you had. I wish good luck for you!

I definitely want to participate as an English language curator. The categories I am most proficient in are: lifehacks, workfromhome, news, and health.

I choose these categories, because I have tremendous experience in these areas, and I want to help people anywhere in the world who have challenges and need help in these areas.

Hello there, I would like to be a curator. I right now I spend between 2-3 hours a day, sometimes more depending on my school work load. Reading and looking up original content on steemit.

I'm new here as well and would love to have the opportunity to help people. Thank you for considering my application!

Hi @acidyo! I would definitely love to curate! I think this is a great opportunity to give back to the Steemit community and help discover new bloggers that are sharing quality content. My areas of interest are travel, photography, art/creativity, motivation, and fitness. I spend a lot of time in my daily life researching and doing these activities. I also have loved reading blogs and learning about new topics from them before I even found Steemit! Thanks for the consideration! 😊

Hai Hai!
My name is mark and i am interested in the project!
I am mainly active browsing and upvoting on the ART DRAWING PHOTOGRAPHY (and sub categories colorchallenge) like and CARS categories :)
If i get picked that would be awesome if not good luck to everyone :D
Thanks for the opportunity :) @acidyo @ocd :)
Take care fellas!

Hello @acidyo and @ocd

This is my application in response to the opening of curators on your team which I believe is a great match for my skills and passion.

I am 32 days old on Steemit. Through out my stay here, I've always gone out to look for good (plagiarism free) posts to read and comment on. My STEEM power, was low but recently, @flipstar believed in my cause and delegated about 500 STEEM power to help my cause.

I don't self upvote and I try my best to look at the best before undergoing curation. I assure you, I won't abuse any delegation received.

I am a team player, follow directions and proficient with English language as a native speaker. I pay attention to details and I do not plagiarize too. Thus, I understand the concept of transparent curation.

I am quite active on this platform and I would love to curate the health, steemiteducation and motivation genre because I see a lot of undervalued posts there.

I would welcome an opportunity to discuss my qualifications and candidacy in further detail on discord. I hope I get a favourable response soon.

Sincerly,
@learnandteach01

Hey @acidyo!

I was waiting for this man :) I am confident that I will I fit in the OCD team and do my job correctly in finding hidden gems.

Why?

First of all I enjoy reading good posts. My news feed (including steemit) are full of authors that write quality stuff. Everyday I take atleast one hour to browse through it. My attention has lately turned to the increasing the quality of my steemit feed. I've been in the "new" section a lot to find quality for me daily reading. Doing this frequently, has improved my ability to spot nonsense posts from the good ones.

About after a month I joined steemit, I realised curation is THE most important activity we need right now. I noticed a lot of quality posts go to waste. In fact many of the steemians I got to know on steemit.chat and discord have such good posts, but they have gone unnoticed. I know enough people that could be featured in OCD already.

I like to curate art, travel and story but my focus would go to #technology and #cryptocurrency. I noticed OCD as well as Curie are not in these tags. While these tags especially cryptocurrency produce a lot of trashy posts, there are many valuable post between them, that I've seen going unnoticed.

I hope I can be part of the team!

Hi there! I would like to give my contribution as a curator especially in the field of photography, art travel and crypto. Also if/when you need for italian and romanian languages. Thank you!

Oh! your social experience notes and knowledge of so many languages would really be a valuable resource for OCD.I am pleased with your candidacy. Good luck

Hi OCD!

I would love to get to be a part of the OCD team, though instead of certain genre of posts I have to admit, I love cheese.

And seriously speaking if this requires daily participation, it's better to leave those who are certain they can participate daily.

Good luck for OCD and future curators.

@acidyo, do you have instructions posted somewhere on how a writer could be curated by OCD? Does it work like some of the other curation services out there (like requesting a review of past articles, and then sending a certain amount of SBD to a certain account upon acceptance)?

I'm pretty new to Steemit and tend to write in the "ai" and "machine-learning" channels/tags. As I learn about new discoveries in the field while doing research, I try to write an article breaking things down and making the material more accessible to a wider audience. Also, I'm always on the lookout for constructive feedback and critique to learn what is valued by the community.

like requesting a review of past articles, and then sending a certain amount of SBD to a certain account upon acceptance

No, our curators look for posts on their own. An added chance to get curated is by adding the tag "ocd-resteem" to your posts which we nominate and support 3 per day with a resteem.

Thanks, @acidyo. I do appreciate the advice. And for those kind folks who upvoted my original question, thanks! You guys rock.

nice post. well done dear @acidyo

Very cool! I'm happy to apply to become a curator. To me, the OCD daily post is a hip and vibrant selection of articles that might otherwise go unnoticed. I feel this is an important service, because everybody begins their Steemit journey as a minnow, with no followers, and a low likelihood of being seen. OCD is like a ray of sunshine, beaming into the sea, and leading us all to treasures. These lists encourage us all to: (1) create meaningful original content; (2) connect with newcomers; and (3) curate the kinds of articles we wish to see more of. In my personal experience, OCD inspired me to curate a list called “The Top 11,” seeking and finding Steemit's most radical creative thinkers (see The Top 11, Vol. 04. The specific area where I'm most interested is this: creativity. I like to say that Steemit's greatest benefit is its platform, spotlight, and amplifier for creative expression. I believe creative thinking, and creative problem-solving is a necessity these days, and I even like to call this “The Creative Age,” for this reason. I believe Steemit will be instrumental in the coming years, as artists find their voices and bring their creations into existence. Art is my main area of passion, and it's the reason I return to Steemit day after day. Thank you for your consideration.

I vouch for @cabelindsay. I saw his active engagement with the community whilst constantly giving feedbacks to each writer. Interesting application Indeed. Good luck :)

Thanks so much! I really appreciate your witnessing, and your encouragement.

Yes! Your Top 11 lists are superb. And I feel you embody the creative spirit in an exemplary way, here on Steemit and out in the working world too. You might mention your credentials, and a few of your noteworthy works, because they can indicate your credibility in making strong selections for OCD.

So kind! Thank you @wildfamily, dear friend. Yes, for the OCD curator selection team, I'd like to substantiate my interest in curating posts to support the arts. My belief is this: We are all artists. And further: Art is all we are. We are living, breathing artworks, co-creating the world around us in thoughts, words, and actions. That's why I feel the arts are so vital. I believe big ideas can save the world! In my profession as an advertising art director, my duty is to discover the brilliance and beauty surrounding everyday life, and share it. Naturally, I am drawn to others with creative spirit, and I passionately support artists with my art. For example:

I filmed and directed four music videos for a country music rising star this year.

Art is my profession and my passion. I co-own a video studio, (see AriseVideo.com), where we specialize in “Local Media with a Global Reach.” I am a filmmaker and a published author, with three books and a feature-length film released (see Amazon.com). My blog is rich with posts designed to encourage other artists, and here are some favorites: Printable Steemit Tagging Cards, How to Build A Homemade Maraca, Three Creative Commitments For A Better World... You'll see I'm an artist in my spare time too, being an illustrator, singer-songwriter, culinary artist... I hold a Master of Arts degree, and I bring 15 years experience in media arts, specifically focusing in graphic design, web design, and videography. Finally, I offer my portfolio, for your consideration: (see CabeLindsay.com).

Hey, congratulations! You made the team. Please contact me under the same username either on steemit.chat or discord for an invite to our discord channel.

Oh wow, what an honor! Thank you. I'll catch you on steemit.chat.

Is there still any available slot for curators? I will be willing to do the task of curators if given a chance 😄

I am the student who interest in technology, science, cryptocurrency and sport especially. I have a lot free time and I spend this time surfing on the internet, steemit in detail :).
I am from Poland and I want to increase polish community. Most my articles are in polish language but not only.
I know that, I am freshman on Steemit becouse I am here only one month, but I can see high potential in this platform. I always work with the plan, which help me write better.
I am the person who love study and give away my knowledge which I have gained, but only then when I am sure my conviction.
If you see potential in my person, feel free to write me :)

I hope that you will find deserving curators that can do the job like a bot here @acidyo ;)
Best Regards, there are lots of good people here.

I see that i am a little late to this post but i would like to be part of this team if you havent already chosen ur new team members. Often mornings I try to find post of minnows to help promote so they dont get discouraged and leave steemit and spend my own money to promote them. I even send them upvotes from pal and bots and pay other bots to resteem their articles just to get them more exposure. I dont really care about the delegated sp, but i would like to be able to send quality posts ur way. Let me know if i can help in any way. Thanks!
