I don't think it's just kids and dogs.. give me a treat and I'll be your best friend too, lol :D

Oh, that car looks dangerous. I would probably never dare to sit on the roof! I think that if I would be traveling in Asia I would spend all my money on transportation because I have slight claustrophobia and I wouldn't be able to be squeezed with so many people in one car. Or I would rent a scooter :D

Well, I don't believe that the river takes people. I think there might be a strong current and that child wasn't strong enough to swim out of it. These things unfortunately happen and I know that many cultures are superstitious and could understand it in this way..

So many photos! WOW! I like your posts because you show us all the details of your trip :) Thank you for sharing and have a lovely day! It was nice to read a post from your again :)

Haha! I love treats, too!

I think you should hire a scooter just like that girl I see on tv going around the world on a bike or the guy who fell in love to the Philippines. He goes around on bike too :)

Yes, we are very superstitious people but I think the next generation are not.

Thanks, Martina!

That was really a wonderful break from the fast life. Nature, dogs, culture and ride. What else can one want for a perfect trip? :D Those corn fields are also very serene and inviting.

I like the way to showed every aspect of your trip. Also, Cool photos. Thanks for sharing and have an amazing day! :)

I hope I can have another break like this again :D

Thanks, @himalayannomad!

Long time no see, my friend! I can still remember my visit to Quirino, Isabela. I really loved the scent of fresh air and dirt. I also tried the topload jeepney but not the one used for public transport though maybe because of safety but I really wanted to try.

I miss the scent of the rice fields and the heat lol! Good to hear from you, too!

It is a great day indeed! Thanks @curie!

You are right when you go to these places sometimes you usually lose track of time ... it is a very beautiful and beautiful place and it really was a real meeting for you, remember how fun it is to be a child when you enjoy natural things. When you are in a family, the experience is even better and it is surprising how old the lady they visited was, I would like to be able to be in a place like this since it is very similar to my childhood home. I hope you continue sharing your travel greetings!

We really should go back or visit places where everything is simple - what we consider simple. It makes us appreciate things more especially what we have and what we do not have.

Cheers!

Wow my friend, suoer post. I like when the cooking is done with wood as raw smoke flavor gets in the food. It makes a nice addition to the rest.
Blessings!

You and me both. I actually miss that kind of smoky flavor especially with cooked rice. It just takes me back to childhood.

Simple, rural life can be very challenging but relaxing as well, it depends on where you are coming from. Watching these amazing photos and reading about your wonderful journey is a pleasure. That river looks so peaceful and quiet, almost inviting if I can use this expression.
The pottery has caught my eyes, most likely I could have not resisted without buying some as I love handmade pottery. The other interesting thing i saw here is the cemetery. I've seen many cemeteries from many countries but this is very different. Those concrete graves look very unusual. Congratulations for the nice blog, well done!

Everything in a cemetery is unusual to me lol! I forgot to ask the lady if the pots are for sale but I think it was not. I didn't notice pots anywhere else in the market at least where we walked around. The river is indeed peaceful. We were warned not to go further up as it is deep and dangerous.

Thanks @erikah!

You're right, rivers can be dangerous as you never know how deep the water is and it can be whirlpools that can swallow you in a split second.

Such a wonderful jurney. It reminded me of my trips back home when I was in college. It was always good to go back home, when you've grown in a rural town of "simple" people, with deeply roots traditions of honesty and hard work.
Pity sometimes that changes for the worse.
Now, I do not even make plans to visit my hometown.
About the scary-looking truck/jeep

People adapt and do what they can with what is available to them.

So true. We are having worse than those now in state capitals and even in the nation's capital.

You have some really amazing pictures here. Too many to count.
I am curious about the cassava drying on the road. What do people do with it? We have cassava here, but we either eat it boiled (fresh, whole) or processed as a dough and made into a tortilla-like bread

Right? Sometimes we see simplicity as being poor or lacking but sometimes simplicity is more. We live our own lives and we do with what we are given.

Oh we cook and eat cassavas in various ways here lol! Some even make chips out of it. For the dried cassava, locals will sell them to market to be used as food for pigs.

What a wonderful post! Your photos are fantastic and I really felt that I got to go along with you! Congrats on the well deserved Curie vote!

Thanks much @melinda010100! It so joyful being curied :D

And very well deserved!

Wow @leeart, someone is definitely back! Well, I know I have been away for a long time too but I don't really talk much. Your post came as a surprise because from time to time whenever I check Steemit, I always check your page. Happy Saturday by the way!

Guess you are away longer than I am haha! I can only spare a few moments here once in a while now. I can't interact the way as I did before. I kind of miss that :D Thanks for checking! I cannot remember anymore those who I used to interact with here that's why I cannot visit them. Good thing you did lol!

Wow na-Curie na na-OCD p o. Galeng tlga. Hahaha. Congrats! And yes we need to take a break and enjoy life din. Travel travel travel. 😊

Hehe nakachamba lang. Tnx!
