Astana Kazakhstan - Occult Capital of the World
Nestled in the steppes of the Caucasus, the new capital of Kazakhstan has been enjoying a development boom thanks to billions of dollars in oil revenue.
The former Soviet satellite state gained it's independence in 1991 and has been ruled over by one man ever since - Nursultan Nazarbayev.
In 2009, the government decided to move the capital from Almaty in the east to the remote city of Astana in the northern territory. The president believed the location of the old capital was too close to the border with the Chinese and therefore susceptible to Chinese influence. The move to Astana, literally meaning 'capital', brought the nation's capital closer to Russia, a country that shares a long history and heritage with Kazakhstan.
Astana is largely the brainchild of president Nazarbayev who has been intimately involved at every level of the city's rapid development. Nazarbayev is credited with designing many of the iconic and ostentatious landmarks that have begun to draw the attention of international photographers and tourists alike.
Astana is in the midst of rapid development and this new frontier is awash in masonic and occult symbolism. From the royal palace, from gaudy monuments, to Egyptian styled shopping centers in the heart of the city, one can only interpret the architecture as heavily symbolic.

Pyramid
angelfire.com
Commonly referred to as the Pyramid, the Palace of Peace and Harmony was conceptualized by president Nazarbayev. British architect Sir Norman Foster is the building's designer. It represents the values of friendship, unity and peace in present day Kazakhstan.
The Pyramid hosts international events and the congress of leaders of World and Traditional Religions in association with the UN General Assembly of World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). It contains an opera hall, conference and exhibition centers as well as a contemporary arts center.
Pyramid as Symbol
- Ancient symbol for humankind
- Egyptian reverence for pyramids, associated with spirituality
- Eye of Providence
- Eye of Horus
- All seeing eye
- Representing God and heaven at apex and earth and hell at base
- Top of triangle also symbolic of elite control
- Small triangle also represents summoning of demons and spirits
As mentioned, inside the Astana pyramid there's a opera hall in the basement. Look up at the ceiling and we find a painting of the sun. This sun has 33 sun rays (masonic number) surrounded by what appears to be another masonic symbol, the square and compass.
google earth
On the ground floor, we find another a corresponding sun on the marble floor with square and compass shaped pillars in the main atrium.

At the top floor, we find a emaculate white conference room and round table and more square and compass masonic symbology.

Baiterek Tower
bitnovosti.com
Located in the center of Astana, the Baiterek Tower symbolizes the new Kazakhstan. A golden egg of the Samruk bird sits atop of the Tower and represents the rebirth of the Kazahk nation. The tower was was also conceived of by president Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Visitors who venture inside the Tower's egg will find an impression of the president's palm inside a monument known as the "Ayala-Alakan". It is meant to express the close relationship between the state and its citizens emphasizing peace, comradery and harmony. The monument itself commemorates the year 1997 when Astana was officially chosen as the new capital. Thus, the imprint of the president's palm sits at exactly 97 meters.

There are some esoteric numbers in the descriptions of the structures.
The 105-metre Baiterek is constructed from metal, glass and beton and weighs over 1000 tons. The 22-metre golden egg, which weighs 300 tons alone, is made with chameleon glass that changes color depending on the light.

This architectural masterpiece was designed by, who else, Sir Norman Foster. It is the largest "Tent' structure in the world with an area larger than 10 football fields..
The main support columns also bear a striking resemblance to the square and compass.

Golden Towers
The golden towers bring things into focus a little more as they lend more weight to the suggestion that the main mall's architecture closely resembles the layout of masonic temples.
Golden Towers as Symbols
- twin pillars called ‘Joachim’ and ‘Boaz’ that stand on either side of masonic temples.
The Ak Orda Presidential Palace sits in the East of the city centre, at the same position as the Grand Master’s chair. President Nazarbayev’s palace is flanked on either side by vast golden pillars, which correspond neatly with the twin pillars called ‘Joachim’ and ‘Boaz’ that stand on either side of a masonic temple.
Many masonic rituals require initiates to pass between these pillars, and those with a little imagination might suggest that placing golden pillars on either side of Astana’s central Nurzhol Boulevard allows for occult workings on a grand scale.

The Phoenix
A common theme in the architecture of Astana is the concept of the 'rebirth', particularly the rebirth of the Kazak nation. The golden egg of Baiterek Tower is one example. Another, is the phoenix shaped pond flying towards the pyramid from the presidential palace.

Presidential Palace
The most distinguishing feature of the Presidential Palace is not the building itself but the front lawn flanking Ishim river. Again, like we see on Capitol Hill in Washington DC, we have a clear masonic square and compass projecting outward from a power center.

Sorry for the late comment on this excellent post my friend .. I've been in a rush to get finished up for Christmas and I'm pleased to say I'm now there! :D
What an excellent post, I was going to write something about Astana at some point .. but I'm really glad you put your mind to it and created such an informative and eloquent write up! It's my belief that they have some big plans for this area, perhaps they're hedging their bets against the fall of the west .. building the cities and control structures of the future before the future arrives. Different country, but Estonia also appears to be quietly furthering the globalist agenda .. the growing cashless society, tech surveillance network, the global citizen (E-resident) scheme .. I could go on! When you connect all this to the impending Chinese silk road and their social surveillance network .. we can perhaps observe the individual pieces of a greater puzzle being slowly slotted together. Indeed the globalist system is already here in its entirety, it's just that different aspects are being trialed in different countries.
The symbolism is so in your face that it's clear to see that it's both deliberate and meticulously planned .. I have a friend that works over there and there is a hell of a lot of money/investment being funneled into this area of the globe, yes aspects are certainly related to oil/mineral exploration and the aforementioned silk road, but does the symbology allude to something deeper? Indeed there are certainly many aspects of this particular symbolism that speaks to an occultic knowledge of human anatomy .. indeed, is the NWO phoenix rising to take control of mankind .. will this strategically placed city become a future control hub of the world government? Safely hidden from the rage of marauding western Europeans that will come to realise their future has been stolen from them? We shall see. Fantastic work as always @v4vapid
It's interesting, because even Kazakhstan itself seems to be a place of little strategic importance, perhaps it also has some symbolic importance. Although, in my opinion, all that seems a simple device, mere appearance, symbolism without much to really symbolize.
We could make a connection between these symbols and those of the ancient Egyptian, for sure, but the Egyptians, for their part, focused enough on doing their work well, the pyramids are perfectly constructed, the eye of Horus, which you mention, was made with materials that came from very distant places, such as lapis lazuli, known in antiquity as "sapphire", which was taken from the far afghanistan, in short, work a lot for their symbols, because they really cared what they symbolized.
On the other hand, these symbols in Kazakhstan, like most Masonic symbols, seem to be hollow symbology, with nothing to represent. I don't think they have tried so hard to make such constructions, and I don't think it is their best work, the Egyptian pyramids have lasted thousands of years, these works will do much if it reaches two centuries.
It looks like an amusement park, something tourist, to get money. Maybe I'm wrong of course, maybe something goes unnoticed, it's obvious that the symbology is done on purpose, but it seems to be just a trick.
Regards!
Hi @viera, thanks for your insights as you may very well know much more than I do about symbolism, I'm no expert. I just find this to be a curious phenomenon.
The in your face, out in the open, masonic symbolism in Astana is quite provocative in some ways. As you say, it could very well be a vanity project of Nursultan Nazarbayev and a display of power and opulence with nothing below the surface. I really don't know enough about Kazakhstan at this point to be able to persuade anyone that it's anything else but an over the top gaudy tourist project. It's possible that it serves no other purpose.
I beg to differ with you on this point.
Kazakhstan is a very important geopolitical strategic location, it's just that it's not on the radar of western-centric political strategists. It's located in the heart of Central Asia, between Russian China and the Caucus region. It's also perched on the Caspian sea, and is an oil rich nation because of this. In addition it is one of the most mineral-rich countries in the world.
In a speech last year on Eurasia, James Corbett quotes Sir Halford Mackinder a british geographer, academic and politician from the London School of Economics on the importance of the Eurasian heartland (Mackinder is known as the godfather of geopolitical strategy).
Now, I'm not saying that Kazakhstan itself will emerge as some kind of world dominating force but in today's context with the Chinese plan to construct a modern day Silk Road, and considering the location and vast oil and mineral wealth of countries such as Kazakhstan, it's not hard to see that Central Asia's importance on the world stage will grow significantly in the long term.
Anyways, I appreciate your input and if you've got the time - I would recommend checking out the entire presentation by @corbettreport, it's very interesting.
Cheers!
That is, yes I was missing something, the Mackinder's pivot theory, that seems something that people with globalist aspirations would fervently support.
However, there is still a lot of mystery just because, if we accept the fact that the West, and all that that represents, have interests in dominating Central Asia, and with it Kazakhstan, then we accept that the West does not dominate Kazakhstan. And if it does not dominate it, where do those symbols come from?
Maybe they represent something in the East, maybe I'm wrong to make a dichotomy, but Nazarbayev seems to be from all sides of the political board, and unless we accept that there is a greater power acting on all of them, which is unlikely, because it would be to put China and the United States in the same bag, the symbolism seems very present in a place that is supposed to be in dispute.
My city is so boring...
It looks like quite an incredible place, albeit very gaudy. I wonder how much of the history of the symbolism the citizens know.
Ditto, my city is a drab place compared to this!
I first came across a picture of the Astana Pyramid and the phoenix-like bird on reddit and though there were a few comments about symbols, there were probably 50 comments and almost nobody picked up on the masonic presence. I just checked it out on a whim and was kinda floored by it. Even the travel writers for the Guardian and GQ never mention the obvious symbolism.
I think the people of Kazahstan may have there own opinions about the architecture that they keep to themselves. I certainly had the impression that it may be dangerous to speak your mind on certain topics especially since the dictator president had a hand in the design of many of the buildings himself.
Quite literally by the looks of the imprint at 97m.
I'd say most planned cities have a whole range of symbolism hidden away but capitals would have to take the lion's share considering their political purpose. It would be interesting to have a look at all capitals to see what overlaps. Washington is obviously crammed also.
Lol, really. I forgot about that for a second (face palm).
Apparently, the president's hand has been 'enhanced' and it's not quite that large. But it gives people the impression (literally) of the president as a god-like figure.
Bingo! I did washington last week and have researched several other capitals in Europe - Paris and London have major masonic symbology, no doubt. There are a few more I've been looking at too. It's quite wide-spread actually. Hiding in plain sight and all that.
Haha - does look a lot like "Total Recall" :)

That is the craziest place I've ever seen...
Yup, this is place is off the chain weird.
@v4vapid, In my opinion, the Pyramids are so deep concept that these can be found on other planets too and i think that these kind of Symbols are telling something about very very and very ancient.
Wishing you an great day and stay blessed.

The beauty is absolutely stunning! It's really a shame that there are such dark undertones.
The architecture is very impressive for sure and I think that 'dark undertones' is a good way to describe it.
I didn't have space to include it in my post but the country is known as a peaceful and multicultural place aside from the dictatorship, of course.
Hopefully their culture will stay that way.
Was there last year. Quite impressed by this modern artificial city. It wasn't like any places I visited before. But odd enough I quite liked it lol.
Happy New Year!!
Wow, you actually visited Astana?!
I heard the people are super kind there and that it's very multi-cultural.
Was there anything else that you saw that struck you as add, maybe something not included in this post?
thanks, happy new year!
I didn't go inside the Pyramid and the tower. But I went inside that huge tent shopping mall, the top floor was cool, it was a swimming pool where you can have some cocktails.
I really loved the Astana expo building, super cool architecture.
Very international yea, you find everything, all kinds of restaurants and bars, with cheaper price than in Europe. People in Cetral Asia are quite nice!
It is indeed super windy and cold (visited late May, still cold)...
Luckily some residence apartments have a playground inside, so local kids can play inside. But still, I have a Kazakh friend living there who prefer living in Almaty because of the weather.
You should go and check out some other Foster and partners past and current projects!

Really interesting article. When you see things laid out in front of you in this way, it makes even the most hard nosed cynics think just a little harder and deeper.
Thanks man, I will check it out. I started to a little bit but I was too busy just checking out the Kazakh capital! He's a Lord if I'm not mistaken?
He is. A peer of the realm after his promotion from simply being Sir! .....
Glad to see someone else notice how deeply strange Astana is. Also note that Kazakhstan is pretty much in the centre of Eurasia and would make a logical capital of the whole continent.
Despite the similarity in name, Khazaria was slightly west of present day Kazakhstan. There may (or may not) be a long-term plan in this ;-)
Yes! For sure, it's location would make it a natural place to have a continental capital. Astana really is in the middle of nowhere, built on a barren landscape, with billions and billions invested into it. It really makes you wonder, what's in store for Astana in the long term.
I had a hunch that maybe it was part of China's new Silk Road but it's a bit too far north to play a direct role in the infrastructure.
Conspiracy nut-job !
These are clearly just coincidences !
Laughing of course ! Great post, didn't know about Astana at all (knew it was the capital but not much more, and even less about the buildings and symbolism of the whole city-center). The free-masons influence is so blatant I laughed a few times reading your post.
But who am I to judge ? I'm French and everything here is reference to free-masons : our architecture, our decoration inside official buildings, our country's motto (which is the motto of the free-masons) and even our country's name which is the french name for the free-masons (Franc-maçons).
But one thing is sure : this f*ckers sure know how to build things :D That's far from ugly, even if it's a bit too modern for me...
Ha, you know it!
They sure do know how to build though, you're absolutely right.
I sorta got obsessed with this post as, of course, I didn't really know anything about Kazakhstan at all. SO, it was quite fascinating and I hope i can make another post on the country, culture, politics and people down the line. I wanted just to show the symbolism but even then I had to leave out a lot.
I was saying WTF to myself almost the entire time as Astana is just overflowing with symbols.
I don't know enough about France's architecture but I did look at Paris briefly for masonic symbolism and, yeah, there's shit ton. Lol, I'm looking at a few European cities atm too. Maybe I'll do another one in the future but I don't know if any other city is as overt as this.
I'm looking forward to a more in-depth look at Kazakhstan then, these central Asian countries are really fascinating in every aspect as they're like the "center" of all cultures, so with various influences on top of their own. And as someone said in the comments, mentionneing Khazaria, also the birthplace of all our current "rulers".
For Astana, yes it's really blatant here as it's recent. I can understand your surprise going through all of this and discovering more symbolism with each new building, each new map, each new glance. I think in older times they had to satisfy everyone (clergy, artistocracy) so they had to put a leash on pure masonic symbolism. Looks like they don't really care anymore...
Once again, great work here ! Thanks a lot for putting time into this and sharing it !
Just a short note @v4vapid to let you know that I enjoyed reading your post about Kazakhstan, a place of which has interested me as well. Seems an ideal spot to serve as one of the centers of control for the Globalists.
I watched the Corbett Report in which they reported on Astana and think I'll watch it once again.
Ciao
Never saw that. Thanks for sharing. All that reminds me of the French king Louis XIV.
With the difference that Luis XIV, in his constructions and in all the symbolism that he created himself, responded, in a strange way, to his spiritualism. This symbolism in Kazakhstan denotes falsehood, it is only appearance, it does not hide much spirituality. It seems to be a symbolism with nothing to symbolize.

Wow- How did I already not at least have an inkling of this? Unreal- thanks for sharing V!
I might be the only person who is actually a Freemason, to respond to this. My bona-fides: a long-time member of a Regular Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons, in the US as well as a member of the York Rite, and 32nd Degree, KCCH, of the Scottish Rite.
I'm going to try to correct some of the mistaken claims made here.
Nazarbayev has never been a Freemason. There was no Grand Lodge in Kazakhstan until 2016 when it was formed under a charter granted by the Grand Lodge of Russia. Did Nazarbayev give his permission for this to happen? Almost certainly. But that does not make him a Mason, or even favorable towards Freemasonry.
"33" is not a Masonic number in Craft Masonry; it is only significant to the Scottish Rite, which is an Appendant Body of Freemasonry. The symbols around the "sun" look nothing like a Masonic Square & Compass.
"On the ground floor, we find another a corresponding sun on the marble floor with square and compass shaped pillars in the main atrium...From the sky, the shapes of the masonic square and compass area clearly visible, while the center square also resembles the eye of Horus / All Seeing Eye...The main support columns also bear a striking resemblance to the square and compass..." etc.
Again, those look nothing like a Masonic Square & Compass. You seem to be suggesting that any chevron shape is like a Square & Compass. It isn't. The Square & Compass is a very specific shape: the Square is always a 90-degree angle, fairly thick, with arms that are often of slightly unequal lengths, and the Compass is an angle of always less than 90-degrees (60 or 72-degrees are common). BUT the critical thing is that in Masonic symbology, the Square & Compass are ALWAYS overlapping. Without that, it isn't a Masonic symbol. And here, there are no overlapping angles of 90-degrees, and angles of less than 90-degrees. NOT MASONIC. You might as well claim that the structure of a yurt, with its overlapping wooden struts, form interlocking angles, and therefore must be Masonic. 🙄
"Jachin and Boaz" do not "stand on either side of Masonic Temples"; they stand inside, flanking a doorway. They are not golden; they are (at least nominally) bronze. And they are ALWAYS topped by two globes, and other specific decorations.
NOT MASONIC.
Nonsense. Where is the Square? The aerial photo you show doesn't have anything that looks remotely like a square, and in the manipulated photo, which has a square-type shape applied, it is like 120-degrees! Not a Square, and NOT Masonic.
Astana is an amazing city, and it has certainly been laid-out with an eye towards geometry. And there are certainly structures that have symbolic import, such as the Baiterek, but these are largely indigenous symbols from traditions like Tengriism (practiced on the Eurasian Steppe for perhaps 2,000 years). That in itself is a fascinating thing. To try to spin it as if it is Masonic is simply a fantasy without any grounding in reality.
