We are looking at what may be the best movie of 2019 and, most incredible of all is that of dad Netflix. And it seems that little by little the biggest streaming channel is vindicating itself with its original films (it’s about time). Noah Baumbachis the director of this film and, that for many there will be a before and after Noah’s career; because he definitely made a work of art.
I can see the film as a real life story, because he (Noah) really embodied the divorce, he lived with his first partner Jennifer Jason Leighand that meant a lot in his life. And obviously what you saw in the film was the great script and the complicated plot of those people going through a divorce.
The film with its explicit title says so, is the story of a marriage between two artistic souls so to speak, where one is always given more than the other and where it teaches us the importance of communication. To many it seems to be a story of a toxic relationship, to others it seemed very boring and to others like me, a real masterpiece.
Nicole Barber (Scarlett Johansson) and Charlie Barber (Adam Driver) are a husband couple she is a film actress who decided to live under the shadow of her husband a talented theater director who per se, is usually selfish and where his decisions are always the right ones. The film starts with them telling what they like about each other’s relationship, very much like those vows of love when you get married.
However, when the story begins to be stormy you see the results of when the love ends, it is incredible the performance of both Driver and Johansson, it is so shocking that makes one live the experience so you have not married. Many people think the story is like Kramer Vs Kramer or Blue Valentine, but I think each film has a different perspective.
However, this (Marriage History) plays with that theater-style factor that is so intense that there come times when you hate the movie (in good shape) and then move on to love it. And a plus, there’s a boy Azhy Robertson, who plays the role of the son of both of them, and we can see how everything gets complicated when there are children involved.
There are moments in the film that are devastating and definitely worth seeing the 2 hours because it is a beauty, and mention apart from the devil’s lawyers,Laura Dern as the cold and charming lawyer Nora Fanshaw who undoubtedly steals everyone’s attention and there is a scene where she talks about the Virgin Mary and is spectacular.
Without a doubt it is a good option for them to enjoy and feel identified by each other and for those who are married and in the process of divorce will undoubtedly reach the heart.
