Every New Year's Eve, I have a little ritual I do. I prepare what I call my "Prosperity Bowl." It's a simple but meaningful tradition that brings me good luck and positive energy for the coming year.
The bowl holds a few key elements:
Rice: Symbolizing abundance and nourishment.
Cotton: Representing purity and a fresh start. I also see it as a symbol of lightness, hoping for a year where life's burdens feel less heavy.
Money: Attracting wealth and prosperity.
Water: Representing longevity and good health.
We've always included fruits in our New Year's Eve celebrations, especially round ones like oranges and grapes. It's a tradition from my childhood in the Philippines, symbolizing abundance and good fortune.
In the center of the bowl, I place a lit candle to illuminate the path to success and happiness.
As the clock strikes midnight, I sit quietly for a moment, reflecting on the past year and setting intentions for the year ahead. I express gratitude for the blessings I've received and visualize a year filled with joy, abundance, and good health.
My Prosperity Bowl is more than just a collection of objects; it's a symbol of hope, optimism, and the power of positive intention. It reminds me to approach the new year with a grateful heart and a positive mindset.
I hope you enjoyed this glimpse into my New Year's Eve tradition
