How about the internet speed? Is that a key factor? If so, what is the minimum requirement?

in my experience It takes very little data to send back and forth, so Internet speed does not effect mining speed. But if you have extremely slow internet connection then your miner might have trouble connecting to the network and have down time which would effect profits.
