You are totally right about the kinetic energy. I disapprove of nuclear power at all. The risks of playing with radioactive material, which stays radioactive for thousands of years are simply too high. Also, more we stockpile, higher risk of nuclear proliferation there is, in case, some horrific global conflict happened. People don't think straight in crisis situations.

That you buy a property somewhere, where in the next couple years government might want to store nuclear waste...and then the monitoring of leaking radioactivity doesn't really always happen. You raise very valid points. In the event of humanitarian crisis nuclear would become a weapon of blackmail.
These sites where nuclear is stored can easily be found or attacked by drone and other methods.
I'm sure its all tied in with the Sauds somewhere with "Arms Trade Deal"
