A few short days ago, I shared the exciting news about how I’m getting back into needlework!
This began as a simple design but then I decided that I could turn it into a circular patch. I almost died laughing when I drew the first outline of the circle. I tried using a needle as my anchor and then I attached my pen to some floss, it was a terrible idea. My circle came out a little wonky and it’s far from perfect but I like it. It’s got that rustic handmade feel. I decided to add green-yellow to the iris, filled in the negative space with black floss and a bright blue ring around the whole thing to finish it off.
Next, I’m going to be working on a rectangular patch with one of my favorite quotes from the 2014 comedy horror flick, What We Do in the Shadows. If you’ve seen it before then you’ll understand my love for it, Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi are brilliant! If you haven’t seen it then I suggest that you give it a shot. There is also a spinoff TV series that came out this year and it’s also really good!

I was wondering why you were making an eyepatch, perhaps a cosplay or something? And then I saw it and was like "...ah." XD It's pretty cute XD what are you putting it on?
Lol, eyepatch 😆 I can see the confusion. Maybe my denim vest or denim jacket. I haven’t really decided yet.

OMG I may never have laughed harder at a movie than I did at What We Do in the Shadows. Seriously one of the best comedies I have ever seen. The eye patch turned out well, can't wait to see what the quote is for your next project.
I know!!! It’s so good! Definitely in my top 10. :) I did finish the patch and almost forgot to share it! I’ll do that tomorrow!
