[CR]Japanese Book Mark (Katanas).

in #ntopaz6 years ago (edited)

Japanese culture has a diversity of elements that make it interesting and beautiful, first because of its history, and from where it is based, in addition to the simplicity with which art has permeated every corner of the life of this country. One of the things that has caught my attention is a style of painting that used to have many years ago, called Ukiyo-e, when I made this book, I thought of something like those prints made by very old painters, and craftsmen Japanese.

Cut the cardboard, a strip, quite long because these styles of Japanese prints are always quite elongated (It seems more an encyclopedic bookmark, this said my mom).

The design of the Katanas I did with rapidograph and a pen. I really like the design of the katanas, especially having drawn the handle.

After drawing the background of the sky, it occurred to me to draw this style of Japanese clouds as rolled, and sinuous.

I wanted to make a kind of detail pointillism for the bottom of the buildings.

Detail completed.

I really like this brand book, although it is quite big I would like to give it to someone.

¡Thanks!

It´s a neat drawing, making reference to that culture, how is that book, do you recommend it?

Oh, well, the book does not refer to the bookmark or its stamping. Take a book any, that by its size, since all others are quite small, and the bookmark would be very large. And yes, I recommend it, it is the unpublished novel by the Chilean writer jose donoso, it was a posthumous publication.
