I love trees when there is life and a blooming future. But there can aslo be beauty in the old and as sign of the past. It tells a story of the past. The light coming from light minutes, months and years away may have existed back when those where blooming yet when dead the light arrives upon those trees. Just the thought of it .... And i wanted the milkyway in my photograph ;-)
This was taken at the Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park not to far from Kanab in Utah. The area is know for the little light polution. It just does not get much better when it come to seeing the stars with no disturbances, makes it easy to get your milkyway shot without much of trickery. Just the way i like it.
Utah? Amazing stars and landscape! Must go again soon.

Lonely but happy and starry! Every object in it becomes one, beauty. Night comes to us abruptly and the darkness bright oneself deeply. Every image has a starry night. So good ~

Want to have your post on the map too?
I'd really like to know how you do this! I'm due to invest in a good camera soon and this is something I will be trying to do :)

You need a flashlight and your camera 🔦📸 I usually put the light on the tree first and go life view to set the focus. Then you just go 30sec. Wide angle 16mm on an appropriate ISO (depends on your camera) say 1500 - 3200. Your F-stop should be on something like 2-2.8. Don't go too low or the tree is in focus but your milkyway is blurry. Then trigger, and during the exposure you swipe with your flash light once or twice over your subject. That depends on the strength of your light. This goes fast and easy... Tag me or share with me. Would love to know what you come up with. Cheers.
