I remember seeing this news sometime around last week. The video I saw talked about female Korean artistes whose faces were used in the deep fake. And the video pointed at male Korean artistes and some popular Korean celebrities as some of the culprits. From your post, I'm getting to know that it might not have been them. It was probably done by bots.
The reality of this is so sad. It must have taken a mental toll on the victims. Like you said, those that haven't done anything of the sort, seeing their faces on there will be a mental and emotional mess. It's disheartening. Really! How depraved are the perpetrators?
