Warning: Graphic Content My Bloody Finger!

My first (and perhaps only) post tagged #nsfw but I decided to post some photos of my finger wound.

In my previous post, I described using a mandanin and slicing the tip of my finger off. I really did loose the corner of my finger. I was slicing carrots to put in the freezer.

Because it's fun grossing people out, I can't help share these gnarly photos.

Once it begins healing, I'll give the finger a good washing, but for now this is what it looks like. This photo is just after I got the wound to stop bleeding.

I didn't realize that an actual chunk of finger was missing until after dressing the wound. I was careful not to include any finger pieces in with the carrots.

This is the device that sliced my finger. It's very sharp, I didn't feel it at first.

Now my injury is recorded on the immutable blockchain for all time... if the photos survive, anyway. If not, trust me. It's nasty!

The photos may look nasty, but it's nothing that requires stitches or medical intervention besides anti-biotic cream and keeping it clean. I change the bandage every few hours and the bleeding has completely stopped. It's already beginning to heal over.

I tried cleaning the finger while changing bandages. It's amazing how clean the slice is!

I'll miss the corner of my finger, it'll probably always be a little flat there.

I have every confidence that it'll heal nicely. It hardly hurts at all and it's not bleeding, which means the skin is already growing over the wound.

Thank God for bodies that heal!
