I think Steemit is going to be like its own Internet. I would even go so far as to say there are going to be Pages Etc just like Facebook and all of it will be monetized. I think that is going to be a huge Marketplace/ecosystem / environment for all types of Internet of Things; connective,social media platforms.
With all that being said I think the gun enthusiast/gun fanciers are going to find not only a platform for which they can really put out the information and content that they think is important and valuable, but also be able to make money doing it. It's only a matter of time before they figure out steemit.
