Her heart started to beat fast, she could hear her heart beating in her ear. What would she do now?
" What do you want?" She applauded herself for not stammering. She's holding her breath. " You did not come. I told you I would be waiting" She was surprised, she could feel the sincerity in his voice, she avoided looking into his eyes because she would admit that he was telling the truth. She could see through her peripheral vision that women and men were looking at them. Lora's face was unreadable. " Let's not talk here, eyes are on us and I hate it. Stop making a scene here" She said irritatingly.
" Same place, never mind the time, I'll wait." He said and just walked like casually. Girls' eyes were still following him and she prided herself on catching his attention. A strong hit on her shoulder brought her back to the reality. Lora's face was now full of questions, intrigue, and amazement. She knew she will be bombarded with a lot of questions. So she just pretended to be annoyed. " What?" She asked.
" Don't you have anything to say to me? what was that about, ... Same time, never mind the time, I'll wait" Lora mimicked how Craig said it with a mock. " Aren't you going to share it or shall I ask you one by one?" This time Lora was victorious as she could see the playful look in her eyes and there's no escape. She sighed. She's about to open her mouth when Lora abruptly turned her back and walked. She turned her head and saw Carl coming. " What's between you and Lora?'', She curiously asked when he got to her side and sit. " Nothing, she's avoiding me nowadays, I don't know, I might have done something." Carl looked worried " Did she ever say anything to you?" He asked.
"Nothing, really" She played dumb. Of course, She knew. Lora was so jealous when she heard that Carl was interested in one of the cheerleaders at the school. She cannot blame her. Sophie was attractive, sexy, pretty, legs that stretch forever. Damn, but Lora was more pure, innocent and definitely pretty. She would still vote for Lora and never stop believing in the happy ending she hoped for the two of them. " But, I will let you know then, don't worry Carl, maybe she's just thinking of something." She assured her. " I got to go now Carl, see you later" She kissed him on the cheek and went away. She's got to be ready. She felt very anxious.She couldn't' deny the fact that her heart and mind were working just fine. Her feeling was inexplicable. She rebuked herself for overreacting but she felt it's natural to feel that way for she's young and in love.
