Samsung Leak Reveals Impressive New Galaxy Note 8 Hardware

in #note8 years ago

Samsung looks set to follow the smartphone trend of using a dual camera system on its upcoming Galaxy Note 8. Following on from leaked details of the rear casing of the phablet, more information and sources are coming to light that support the twin-shooter approach.

It is important to Samsung’s status that it uses the new technology. The Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are currently pushing the limits of single lens camera technology. Arguably the two handsets are at the top of the smartphone charts for photo quality, even with Apple’s efforts with the dual camera on the iPhone 7 Plus. But dual cameras is the new black, and even if a detailed examination of the quality of an image shows the Galaxy pictures to be better, perception is swinging behind the idea that dual camera solutions are better.

The only way to stay ahead in the game is to join in.

Which is why the recent leaks around the design of the rear of the device are telling. They add more weight to the previous indications that the Note 8 will be shipping with the dual camera system.

It’s not just the Note 8 leaks that are adding to the chatter. New images of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus models equipped with dual cameras are once more showing up. This design was hinted at earlier in the year, no doubt as the technology was tested for a potential inclusion in the S8 family. Ultimately Samsung chose to go with a single lens on March’s smartphone models, but the hardware does exist, it has been evaluated, and the Note 8 could be the recipient of all that work.

While there may be questions about where Samsung is going to place the troublesome fingerprint sensor, the move to a dual camera system allows the Note 8 to be seen as the most advanced camera on the market and should see Samsung stay at the top of the ‘best camera on a smartphone’ lists.
