I own bitcoin but there are more and more reasons why i will not make a big investment in Bitcoin. One of the greatest allures of bitcoin is that it's not backed by a government, and it allows its users to remain somewhat anonymous, even though their transactions are stored within blockchains.     Why does it matter if it's somewhat anonymous? Isn't that the point?

    You seem misinformed. Just because BitCoin is used for illegal purposes does NOT mean it is illegal in itself.

    Agreed. I think gold and fiat currencies have been used for illegal purposes also. Ask the CIA... I'm sure they'll tell you.
