BTC Cash fork. -What you need to do in order to keep your BTC safe!

in #norway7 years ago

As you might have noticed there's a new fork of Bitcoin launched today, called Bitcoin Cash.

However, if you check out the author of the Electrum wallet at https://twitter.com/ElectrumWallet
You can see that there is a big possibility that they might be stealing private keys, to get people's Bitcoins.
I can't say this for sure, I've not red the code, but it would be the grandest theft of crypto currency ever done.
To be safe you should move your bitcoin to a new account, before you even think of opening your wallet in a Bitcoin Cash wallet.
If they are actually stealing the private keys, not only have they made a new coin from nothing basically. They're also getting people's Bitcoins too.
I imagine that nothing will happen at first. And when they have enough keys, all the Bitcoin they'll access to, will be gone, forever.

Please keep your Bitcoins safe by these easy steps:

  • Create a new wallet.
  • Move all your BTC to your new wallet
  • Now, you can redeem your BTC cash using your BTC wallet, without any fear of loosing your BTC.

Doing this you'll be without risk of BTC Cash stealing your real BTC.
