Youths: The Future of Nigeria

youth

A youth is anyone who is still young physically, emotionally, mentally, socially and spiritually. He's one who is still vibrant and has the energy to compete ın any and everything. He has the mental prowess to effect changes in areas he wishes to.

Secondly, a leader is one who has set himself apart to be ahead of the masses. He's one who has followed and is been followed. Just like the saying goes there's no leadership without followership. A leader is one who has developed himself in various ways so as to be the solution to the problems of his followers.

Thirdly, tomorrow is the future days. It can be one or two days from today or even a hundred years from today..

Now relating this terms together we can give a vital meaning to the saying. What does it mean for a youth to be the leader of tomorrow? It means a youth should develop, build and upgrade himself mentally, emotionally, spiritually, socially etc so as to be the solution to the problems of humanity in the best way he can. .

Youth empowerment

Bringing this information home, a Nigerian youth should currently develop himself to take over this nation in the nearest future. But how possible can this task be? To be honest, this is a nearly impossible task. Reasons been that virtually every youth thinks in a certain direction. They think power is all about the money. They think in terms of money and not in terms of service.

service first

With this mindset, it is sad to say that the future still looks gloomy for Nigeria as a country because the so called leaders of tomorrow has a wrong orientation about leadership. What a shame!!!!
It's also sad to say that the government of this great nation has neglected its future and sidelined the youth from the affairs of the nation. They haven't taken conscious steps to ensure that the future of this nation is in safe hands.
It's a Shame and I feel the reason is because this nation lacks a cogent ideology. This nation stands for everything but at the same time stands for nothing.

stop this wickedness

As concerned citizen, we should always ask ourselves where we are headed as a nation. Nigeria is 58years this year but it's sad to say we are known for nothing positive except corruption, theft, money laundering and the likes.

the future

I call on the government to invest hugely and wisely on the youth so that they can effectively lead this nation to be among the first world countries.
