#LazyNigerianYouth has been trending since the president of Nigerian, President Buhari called out Nigerian Youths for being lazy.
Here is what Buhari said,
“A lot of them (Nigerian youths) haven’t been to school and they are claiming, you know, that Nigeria has been an oil-producing country therefore they should sit and do nothing and get housing, health care, education, free”

Ok. Am not here to argue if we are lazy or not, I came to proffer solutions to youths who are at the crossroad of what to do. Statistics show that 1 in 3 Nigerian youth has a smart phone. It is alarming to know that most youths use their smart phones for inanities like Facebook and gossip blogs. Ok, I don’t have any problem with Facebook if you are using it to make money but most times you don’t use it for the business aspect of it.
Here are 5 ways you can make money as a lazy Nigerian youth.

Blog on steemit

Steemit is social media platform that rewards you for your posts. You get paid when another user “upvotes” your post. Steemit is a combination of blogging and social media. You can post, comment, reply and get paid in the process. Ok, I know you already know about steemit, I have included steemit here for the benefit of those who will be reading this post outside this platform. To get started on steemit, visit www.steemit.com and create an account to get started.

Freelance on fiverr.com

Personally, I have been a beneficiary of fiverr. Fiverr is an online freelance market place where you offer your services and get clients to pay you for those services. There is a variety of “gigs” you can offer on fiverr. From writing to graphic design, animation and web development. You can get lots of cash offering services on fiverr. To get started on fiverr, go to www.fiverr.com, create an account, construct a good profile and create gigs.

Get into mini-importation.

Yes, this is another money spinner. The concept of mini importation is simple, your job is to source cheap products from Chinese sites and sell them here for a good profit. The profit can be mouthwatering!! You can get a product for N500 and sell it for 5k! I kid you not! The cheapest place to get products I know is 1688.com, but you can start from aliexpress.com or alibaba.com for starters.

Create your own digital products and sell

This is the concept of digital marketing. If you have knowledge about any niche or field, you can write ebooks, do videos and do training for that niche. Where do you get clients, facebook is number 1. You can also find plenty Nigerians on nairaland.com. I sell a digital product that has earned more than 100k in profits. The good thing about digital products is, it does not deplete, you just keep selling it till thy kingdom comes.

Get into affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing involves sharing profits with big companies. If a company makes a profit of 3k on a product, with affiliate marketing, you can be paid 1k for bringing the client. Most top companies in Nigeria have affiliate programs to increase their sales. Who doesn’t want more money? Jumia, Konga and many others offer affiliate programs, check their sites, register, get your unique links and start earning.

I hope with these few points of mine, I have been able to convince and not confuse you that you can make some money online as a lazy Nigerian youth. Stay blessed!
