Even after the saga and ban that threatened the Nigerian Football Federation NFF, the body have come out victorious as everything is now a thing of the past. They put the problems and differences behind and conducted a successful election in the presence of two FIFA delegates and one CAF delegates.
After a first tenure of four years in th NFF office as president, Mr. Amaju Pinnick has been re-elected as the president of the NFF ahead of former NFF president Aminu Maigari, Osun state football president Taiwo Ogunjobi and Chinedu Okoye.
The president of NFF assuredthe public of his co-operation with all contestant and everyone who is willing to help grow sports and football as there are no winner or loser.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Pinnick scored 34 votes to beat other contestants.
Aminu Maigari polled eight votes to emerge second, Taiwo Ogunjobi got two votes, while Chinedu Okoye had no vote during the election.
Seyi Akinwumi was elected First Vice President and Ibrahim Musa Gusau, Chairman FA Chairmen.
Others elected included Yusuf Ahmed and Suleiman Kwande as board members from North Central; Babagana Kali and Musa Duhu for North East.
Sharif Rabiu was elected unopposed as board member for North West; Emmanuel Eda, South-South; Felix Agu, South East, and Ganiyu Majekodumi, South West.
NAN also reports that 44 delegates voted during the peaceful congress.
