One of the things a grown up child cherishes is freedom...
Every human is suppose to be free and happy..
I'm looking at the reasons why we wanted freedom and all that is on my mind is the two colours on the national flag..
Green: is supposed to symbolize nature, growth, fertility, freshness, rebirth, vitality, wealth, progress etc.
White: we are supposed to be the light to others, we are supposed to be known for our softness rather than war among ourselves, our land is supposed to be clean and purified rather than innocent blood shed everyday, we are suppose to be in peace with one another rather than running four forty just to save our lives.
When will we stand up to represent the colour of our flag?
If only we understood what our past leaders fought for...
Yes! there were many thorns, there were turbulent challenges just for us to breathe freely.
Let's look back to reason why we wanted the freedom when people are living in fear and pain and many innocent souls have already lost their lives as a result..
When will the peace we seek for arrive?

To all those who fought tirelessly for this, remain blessed wherever you are.

It's me

Great post @abasifreke... We are grateful to all the nationalist who fought for our freedom. At the same time, we implore our present leaders to so their best in uniting the nation. I know one day we will achieve that.
