Hydrated = need to pee = need to go into the smallest, coldest room in the house as it is on the south side. Luckily @sift666 insisted we keep a heater in the toilet. I scoffed, but am secretly very glad of it.

And keeping the heater in there should probably help prevent the pipes from freezing too. A tiny drip from the faucet might be a good idea in case the house gets "cold soaked". Brrr... I don't miss winter!

We've never had frozen pipes here. But when I first left home at 18, I lived in the suburb of Karori for a year. In the summer it flooded, in the winter it snowed (very rare for Wellington) and nearly every morning our pipes were frozen.
