On 31st December 2012 (a solid 5 years ago), I listed my New Year Wish which is reproduced below (kind of deja vu)?!

All I really needed is a second home,
where I can house my friends over-night whenever I need to,
where I can have my own lean business startup with full business centre facilities,
where I can collaborate with other micro-entrepreneurs and mentors,
where I can play host to couchsurfers / vacationers from all over the world,
where I can organize work-shop to exchange skills,
where I can have karaoke sessions with my friends,
where I can preview movies in home comfort,
where I can have Ogawa therapeutic massage whenever I want,
where I can meet my Mastermind Group members, planning the next second homes

All I really needed is a second home,
which is seller-financed with zero down and zero interest,
which is leased with option to purchase,
which is held as Realshares deemed better than REITs,
which is self-financing and sustainable,
which could be bequeathed to my future generations,

All I really needed is a second home,
that advocates and practices the Triple-Bottom-Line (3Ps),
that yields Profit,
that connects People,
that takes care of the Planet,
that captures the spirit of Collaborative Consumption,
that includes Peer2Peer, Share Economy, Freeconomy, Gift-Economy and Open Source etc.

What is the latest status now?

Well.... I am still running / pivoting the project over the 5-year period and subsequent. Luckily the condominium unit was acquired in cash, so there is very little cash outlay over the period, with costs more than covered with incomes from Airbnb, short-terms leases and co-working spaces, training courses and tour-programs etc.

The biggest "achievement" has been the social interactions with more than 500-plus guests from the hosting of couch-surfers / workcationers / volunteers. I enjoyed very much such "reverse travels" (I stay home, travelers come to see me). This is one of the best ways to spend time for retirees and other similarly inclined. Through such contacts, the project had also been highlighted in Ukrainian TV (novy. tv )and some travel journal video, not to mention my own local productions: (1) Jungle Trekking at AhPek / Saga Hill, Cheras) (2) Hot-spring at Jalan Sg. Lallang, Semenyih) (3)Karaoke Session at Hypercube@SOHOLand,Cheras

Due to the relatively new concept introduced, the awareness /understanding of the project by the public is still low and a lot of education / promotion would obviously be required. The urgent task is to introduce an easily understood equivalent. I have a feeling that idea of a "Bitcoin" equivalent could be very useful, particularly in view of the publicity generated by Bitcoin based on Blockchain technology.

My next "pivoting" of the project should be in the direction of "Tokenization" of the project, possibly via an ICO (Initial Coin Offering"):
