Five years old child of Jihadul Islam Jihad of Baishari Haludiaia village of Naikkhanchhari upazila of Bandarban has been tortured by the victim for eating herbs in rice fields.
On Tuesday 14 November, from 2 pm to 5 pm, the mother tied her with a rope of a tree and punished her.
At 5 pm, locals come and open the rope and release them.
North Haludishia Para Kendra, the teacher and elected member of the Besari union, elected UP member Selin Akter Begi said Jihad is a pre-primary student of his school. When he heard that he tied the tree with a tree, he arranged to send his elder brother, Muhammad Yunus, to open the child.
Jihadul Islam Jihad, a student of North Haludishia Para Center, organized by UNICEF-assisted CHT Development Board's Integrated Social Development Project, gave his responsibility to guard his mother's cows on Tuesday afternoon. But in spite of forgetting the guard, a cow got angry after eating a ripe rice in a field of farmland, and his pregnant mother Momena Akhter (25) caused this brutal incident.
Bisari UP Chairman Alam Company acknowledged the incident.
Local sources said the father of the father Dinajjur Ali Akbar came to know about the incident at home. However, no action has been taken by the police or union parishad chairman on this incident of child abuse.
