This mountain has never been recorded erupted since 1600, [2] but suddenly active again by erupting in 2010. The last eruption of this mountain occurred since September 2013 and lasted until now.

On August 27, 2010, this mountain released smoke and volcanic ash. [3] On August 29, 2010 morning at around 00.15 WIB (August 28, 2010, 17:15 UTC), Sinabung mounted a lava. [4] [5] [6]

The status of this mountain is raised to Beware. [3] Twelve thousand residents were evacuated and housed in 8 locations. [7] [8] The Mount of Sinabung tends to slide from the southwest to the northeast. [9] Some of the city of Medan is also covered with ash from Mount Sinabung. [9]

Polonia Airport in Medan City reported no air travel disruption. [10]

One person reportedly died of respiratory problems while evacuating from his home. [11]

September 2010 Edit
On September 3, there were 2 eruptions. The first eruption occurred at around 04:45 pm while the second eruption occurred at around 18:00 pm. The first eruption sprayed a 3-kilometer-high vuklkanis dust. [12] The second lava occurs simultaneously with a volcanic earthquake that can be felt up to 25 kilometers around this mountain. [13]

On September 7, Mount Sinabung returned to metelus. This is the largest eruption since this mountain became active on August 29, 2010. The sound of this eruption sounded up to a distance of 8 kilometers. This volcanic dust bursts up to 5,000 meters in the air.

and now the eruption of Mount Sinabung has brought volcanic ash to north aceh, therefore aceh people are urged so that when out of house to wear mask, because volcanic ash brought by this wind can damage the respiratory tract.
