The NSA gathered more than 3x as many text and phone call records from Americans in 2017 as it did in 2016 according to an intelligence agency report released Friday, rising to 534 million instances up from 151 in the previous year. This as part of the second year using a new system which by law is supposed to end bulk unjustified collection, not increase it.
