The Body And Ritual Abuse, pt 2: Sensory Deprivation, Haitian Voodoo and South Korean Shamanism

This post is a continuation from the first part, please read that article before continuing here.

Additional methods of accessing the self via physicality include sensory deprivation through blindfolding, which is seen in Abramovic's work through her institute. Blindfolding performed by Abramovic and her cohorts like Hermann Nitsch are extremely important because these acts are directly comparable to the sensory deprivation documented to have occurred during the officially confirmed MKULTRA experiments performed by the monstrous Ewen Cameron, and even under associates of Esalen such as John Lilly.

Sensory deprivation is a specific technique developed by the CIA, as discussed in this article which states in part:

"Hebb noted that four of the students in his study “remarked spontaneously that being in the apparatus was a form of torture.” In the last interview he gave before his death, he said, “It was clear when we gave our report to the Defense Board that we were describing formidable interrogation techniques.”

Sensory deprivation tank:

Sensory deprivation is not in and of itself a harmful technique. It does allow access to a deep meditative state through the body, just as dance and other types of physical ritual/activities do. However, it also becomes an extremely powerful tool for mind control, because it allows programming to take place at the deepest level of a person's being. Sensory deprivation is the most basic example of programming the mind/self via the experience of the body.

John C. Lilly developed flotation tanks. Lilly's involvement with the MKULTRA program is debated, but he was definitely active at locations including Esalen, NIMH, and others.

Lilly's experiments with drugs like Ketamine during sensory deprivation were the basis for the film "Altered States." Rolling Stone also references Lilly as an important influence on the TV show 'Stranger Things,' which depicts a fictionalized and idealized version of the MKULTRA program.

Some press has explicitly noted that the sensory deprivation shown in Stranger Things is "not far off from reality."

Salon called sensory deprivation the "CIA's favorite type of torture." This is sensical due to the lack of physical injuries sensory deprivation leaves, but the rapidity with which it achieves strong results. It constitutes a method of inducing extreme trauma and even psychosis, without physical evidence of injury, on anyone from a terrorist or on a child. Psychotic breaks that result can be used to create multiple personality disorder. Salon described the issue:

"Sensory deprivation, as CIA research and other agency interrogation materials demonstrate, is a remarkably simple concept. It can be inflicted by immobilizing individuals in small, soundproof rooms and fitting them with blacked-out goggles and earmuffs. "The first thing that happens is extraordinary hallucinations akin to mescaline," explained McCoy. "I mean extreme hallucinations" of sight and sound. It is followed, in some cases within just two days, by what McCoy called a "breakdown akin to psychosis."

"It is therefore as insidious as some forms of obviously abusive coercion that are likely to be forbidden under the new CIA rules, like waterboarding, the technique of strapping a subject to a board with his feet raised and pouring water on his face to produce a sensation of imminent death. Legally, however, sensory deprivation is more nebulous than physical abuse, and that is what worries human rights advocates."

John C Lilly was at one point funded by NASA to perform research on dolphins that involved LSD and an attempt to verbally communicate that resulted in the sexual interaction of the volunteer participant with the dolphin. This is noteworthy in that it is not the first time LSD research was performed in state-funded experiments on large mammals. Louis Joylon West killed a bull elephant after giving it large doses of LSD in a government sponsored experiment.

There are many other examples of the use of sensory deprivation related to state interests as well as "alternative healing" groups like Esalen. The significant issue for the purpose of this article is to point out the use of physical stimuli or lack thereof to profoundly effect the psyche. Sensory deprivation tanks also remind this author of the Skinner's box, which in my opinion would mean that the effect of flashing lights or sounds on the subject would be heightened. (Especially if drugs or electrocution are also used)

In addition to work at Esalen, Lilly worked at NIMH, and was reportedly visited by Alduous and Julian Huxley. Lilly worked under the direction of Gregory Bateson, a figure I have previously discussed in posts focusing on Esalen.

Bateson was a Cyberneticist, and was director of one of Lilly's experiments at NIMH. As Sharpedge42 points out, Cybernetics has been cited in intelligence agency efforts to control the development of children's minds. Warren Commission documents show that former CIA Director Richard Helms stated:

"Cybernetics can be used in "molding of a child's character, the inculcation of knowledge and techniques , the amassing of experience, the establishment of social behavior patterns...all functions which can be summarized as 'control' of the growth process of the individual."

The Washington Post describes Lilly's work for the Air Force, and that he underwent psychoanalysis by one of Freud's acolytes. His work regarding the brain is particularly interesting:

"During the war he did research for the Air Force on the physiology of high-altitude flying. Afterwards, he did original work on brain electrophysiology, developing in the process the "bavatron", a device for recording electrical activity over large areas of the brain's surface and projecting it onto a screen. "

The Washington Post also described Lilly's discoveries regarding sensory deprivation:

**"With time he discovered that he could control and "program" his mental functioning as well as observe it. Later he would conclude that such self-programming, could alter and shape our experience of the world." **

Lilly also knew Oscar Ichazo, the Chilean who created the mystical school Arica - which is also apparently based to some extent on Gurdjieff's Fourth Way teachings, describing human beings as controlled by automatic/mechanistic behavior patterns.

Jesuit priests eventually adopted Ichazo's version of the Enneagram for use in Christian spirituality. The use of Enneagrams by Oscar Ichazo forms an additional bridge between the esoteric 'left hand path' teachings of Gurdjieff and a military-tied scientist studying brain activity and sensory deprivation in MKULTRA style projects. Such connections provide an example of the influence occultists have had not only on the study of the human mind but also the techniques which are used to fragment it.

Ichazo's Arica school is known as a variation of the Human Potential Movement. I have previously hypothesized was a euphemism for the study of mind control through the induction of multiple personality disorder and dissociation. This is particularly interesting because it links a possible MKULTRA group in California with the variety of ancient indigenous practices that I discuss in previous articles. These traditions center on techniques of inducing altered bodily states that result in possession - an ancient description of multiple personality disorder or extreme dissociation. Ichazo also "insisted on secrecy."

Ichazo's acolyte Claudio Naranjo was also a member of Gestalt groups centered in the Human Potential movement. Naranjo apparently became an "apprentice of Fritz Perls and part of the early Gestalt Therapy community, where he began conducting workshops at Esalen Institute as a visiting associate. He eventually became one of Perls' three successors, along with Jack Downing and Robert Hall." He is described as a "a key figure at Esalen."

Further, Naranjo was "a consultant for the Education Policy Research Center, created by Willis Harman at Stanford Research Institute." The Stanford Research Institute is notorious for its involvement in MKULTRA type programs, much like its British cousin, the Tavistock Institute.

Willis Harman: " taught for several years at the University of Florida before joining the Stanford faculty in 1952.[2] He eventually left Stanford to become a senior social scientist at SRI International where he initiated a futures research program, exploring the national and global future. In this capacity he worked on long-term strategic planning and policy analysis for an assortment of corporations, government agencies, and international organizations.[4] He then served as president of the Institute of Noetic Sciences from 1975 until his death in 1997."

The Institute of Noetic Sciences researches parapsychology, most likely in tandem with government interest in the subject as described by MKULTRA nad ritual abuse survivors. The group was co-founded by Astronaut Edgar Mitchell. The Institute's studies in parapsychology include interest in yoga and other bodily methods of accessing the subconscious/ alleged psychic abilities.

"The Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) is an American non-profit parapsychological[1] research institute. It was co-founded in 1973 by former astronaut Edgar Mitchell,[2][3][4] along with investor Paul N. Temple,[5][dead link] and others interested in purported paranormal phenomena,[1] in order to encourage and conduct research on noetic theory and human potentials.[6][7]"

The institute conducts research on such topics such as spontaneous remission,[8][9] meditation,[8] consciousness, alternative healing practices, consciousness-based healthcare, spirituality, human potential, psychic abilities, psychokinesis[9] and survival of consciousness after bodily death.[10][11] "

Like rituals involving "possession" in indigenous cultures and occult practice, sensory deprivation and some drugs have been reputed to result in an experience of contact with foreign entities. John Lilly specifically believed that he had "come into contact with extraterrestrials" through the use of drugs and the sensory deprivation tank he developed.

It is important to note in that it gives some idea as to the worldview of those who engage in these practices, as well as echoing the belief from ancient ritual practices that contact is made with outside entities. This belief can possibly be understood as an explanation for extreme dissociation.

One individual who has experienced sensory deprivation in a non-traumatic sense wrote:

"And at least for me, what I experienced wasn’t 'psychedelic' at all, far from a mental experience, what I discovered was a drop into a deeply physical, embodied state; once this had happened, the boundaries of the body, tank and space itself just seemed to fall away. Thereafter I seemed to enter into a primal infinity.."

This point emphasizes the exact focus of this article: the centrality of the body as a medium of 'spiritual experience' or the door to extreme dissociative states and one of the most important tools for mind control.

This point may seem obvious to some, but the concept of mind control as understood by the public is usually focused on manipulating mental processes or emotional states that the body as a primary site for ritual/ritual abuse and mind control experimentation is sorely misunderstood and largely ignored.

Abramovic's connection to Hermann Nitsch also provides insight into the tone and aesthetic of ritual abuse. Although the blood involved in these rituals are striking to observers, the use of the body as a medium of direct experiences of altered states is also present. In Hermann Nitsch's public blood rituals, the body of some participants are placed on crosses or underneath animal corpses, blindfolded, (sensory deprivation) covered in blood and organs, mouth flooded with blood, etc. This creates a shocking spectacle for the viewer but also causes a very significant bodily experience for the participant. Abramovic worked with Nitsch in the 1970's. I've previously compared Nitsch, Abramovic and the work of Francis Bacon. An additional point of comparison between Nitsch and Abramovic is specifically their use of sensory deprivation.

Spectacle aside, these practices share a fundamental purpose, which is to access the deep subconscious beyond the verbal realm of speech, in order to influence the mind beyond the individual's conscious awareness. Dance is a central method used to achieve such altered states of consciousness in South Korean shamanistic practice, Gurdjieff's "Movements," Wosien's "Sacred Dance" and many others:

There is at least a minor connection between this practice as used by former South Korean President Park, and the Watsu practices employed at Harbin, which are yet another example of the "body work" I am describing in this post. Basically one of the medical clinics that were reported to have provided Park with placenta injections also practices Watsu, a practice developed specifically at Harbin.

In this way, RA Anon's testimony would be indirectly tied to South Korean ritual abuse (which, as in many cases, is based on ancient shamanic ritual practice). Apparently, Park was forced to deny that the death of hundreds of children during the sinking of the Sewol was part of a ritual sacrifice. Reports on the furor state: "Park was also forced to deny rumours that she was participating in a ritual to mark the anniversary of the death of Choi Tae-min, the founder of a Christian sect to which she had ties."

Press reports described "an exclusive clique of unofficial advisers called “the eight fairies”, which has enjoyed extensive access to the president." The clique's members were never identified. The South Korean scandal broke at virtually the same time that Podesta's involvement with Spirit cooking was revealed last year.

The use of sacrifice is an important part of South Korean ritual:

Traditional South Korean dance is reminiscent of Gurdjieffian 'movements, which the video below depicts. The clip was also filmed in South Korea:

Through the Clintons and Podesta, Abramovic and her "Method" are also connected to Haitian Voodoo practice. In at least one case she appears to copy Haitian ritual almost exactly.

The importance of this tradition in terms of ritual abuse is primarily that it has been appropriated by people like Hillary Clinton and her largely wealthy cohorts.

Haitian voodoo provides an especially important example of ritual possession that may represent an ancient variety of multiple personality disorder, borne of the extreme trauma of Haiti's past. Haitian's focus of reaching altered states through the body, the use of sacrifice in Haitian voodoo, and the bloody ritual practices involved therein are fundamental to an understanding of ritual abuse. Altered states through ritual practice are also seen in other indigenous shamanic cultures and the states reached in these cultures may also be compared to multiple personality disorder. Haitian tradition is a particularly strong example that can stand in for other traditions with similar practices from various countries. The discussion of all of these rites would require a book.

None of these groups, Haitian or otherwise, is anything particularly "wrong" by inducing altered states. My intention is to describe the mechanism at work so that readers can compare what happens during these rituals to what happens during actual ritual abuse, as it is the closest framework I find relevant and valid.

So in the case of actual ritual abuse, one would extrapolate similar rituals to those performed by South Koreans, Haitians, etc etc, but instead of beheading a cow or a pig, one would witness a child being killed. The addition of that type of violence is the reason for attempting to write this post, but it is also the element that I obviously cannot show here. I hope readers will be able to understand that inference in this post.

The Huffington Post actually references this concept of ritual as an expression of extreme torture in their article on Haitian ritual:

"The spiritual system, in part responsible for the Haitian Revolution and liberation of Haitian people from French colonial rule in the early 1800s, was born within a structure of institutionalized slavery, in which Haitian people were forced into inhuman amounts of labor in the cane plantations, treated virtually as cattle. "

Haitian folklore describes a "pact with the Devil," which was said to have inspired the rebellion that led to independence. The idea of a pact with the devil would correlate with the overall idea of a 'left hand path' mentioned by the previously referenced Stephen Flowers.

The tradition itself is not "ritual abuse" because, as in Korean shamanism, it is not sacrificing children. However I argue that ritual abuse cults use indigenous practices including Haitian ones as a starting point especially because of the deep trauma in which it was created.

Note the use of white robes and blood in Haitian tradition, which is similar to Hermann Nitsch's use of white robes during bloody ritual orgies. White robes worn during a bloody ritual disembowling of a goat was also specifically described in the Finders cult investigation.

Haitian rituals may actively interweave trauma with the spiritual, encouraging dissociation to the point of multiple personality disorder during 'possession.' The manner in which one is possessed in Haitian Voodoo is amongst the bloody sacrifice of animals, intoxication, and vigorous dances/movement. When the individual is in the midst of possession, intense movement continues. Movement and bodily experience is central to this ancient dissociative tradition, to the extent that scholarly works discuss the connection:

That this tradition was born amidst extreme trauma suggests that it may be an expression of subconscious, extreme personal and societal pain. This parallels ritual abuse groups, who attain dissociated states through extreme trauma, but who additionally inflict pain/dissociation on powerless children, producing multiple personality disorder.

The use of Haitian traditions by Hillary and Bill Clinton is also fundamentally important. A strong connection between Haitian ritual, Clinton, and the specific practices of Maria Abramovic is very literally shown in the following image from a Washington Post article discussing Hillary and Bill Clinton's participation in a Haitian Voodoo ritual:

The similarity between the painting shown in the above image above image is striking when it is compared with a more wel-known photograph of Lady Gaga at an Abramovic "artistic" event (which also included mock cannibalism). The similarity of the pose is uncanny. In both instances a black male is tied to a post, mostly nude and strikes a specific pose.

The WaPo article went on to describe Bill Clinton's participation in Voodoo:

"Bill Clinton wrote that "the most interesting day of the trip" came when he, Hillary and Edwards got a chance to see voodoo in practice in a village near Port-au-Prince. The priest was Max Beauvoir, a former chemical engineer who had studied at the Sorbonne in Paris. Beauvoir had abandoned that career when his voodoo-priest grandfather died and named him as his successor. Beauvoir gave the three visitors what Clinton described as a "brief course in voodoo theology." And then the late-afternoon ceremony began. Clinton wrote:

"After several minutes of rhythmic dancing to pounding drums, the spirits arrived, seizing a woman and a man. The man proceeded to rub a burning torch all over his body and walk on hot coals without being burned. The woman, in a frenzy, screamed repeatedly, then grabbed a live chicken and bit its head off. Then the spirits left and those who had been possessed fell to the ground."

Alternative news sources like Infowars have also noted allegations that Clinton attended 'witch' ceremonies with a 'coven' of women, regularly. It is interesting to this author that the Coven was allegedly located in California, where I've previously written about the issues surrounding Esalen and Harbin in connection to RA Anon's abuse. Infowars wrote:

Hillary Clinton referenced Voodoo ritual yet again in her book 'What Happened.' This shows that the Clinton's obsession with Haitian ritual was ongoing. NBC News reported:

"Hillary Clinton was "tempted to make voodoo dolls of certain members of the press and Congress and stick them full of pins," she writes in a new memoir of her 2016 presidential campaign."

This is one depiction of Haitian ritual.

TRIGGER WARNING:

The Trial That Gave Vodou A Bad Name describes an alleged instance of ritual child murder and cannibalism asspciated with Haitian Voodoo: "An 1864 case that ended with the execution of eight Haitians for child murder and cannibalism has helped define attitudes toward the nation and the religion ever since"

"The most detailed account of the murder came from the pen of Sir Spenser St John, who was the British charge d’affaires in Port-au-Prince at the time—and St John’s account helped define Haiti as a place where ritual murder and cannibalism were commonplace, and usually went unpunished. The charge proved so influential that, as recently as 2010, the magnitude 7.0 earthquake that leveled much of the capital could still be blamed on a supposed “pact with the devil” that the country had signed by turning to vodou."

"Sir Spenser St John, British charge d’affaires in Haiti during the 1860s, compiled by far the most detailed account of the Bizoton affair, and believed implicitly in the reality of child sacrifice by “vaudaux” worshipers."

"Jeanne Pelé did not have to look far for a suitable victim. She chose her sister’s child, a girl named Claircine, who St John says was 12 years old at the time...They bound and gagged her and hid her beneath the altar of a nearby temple. The girl stayed there for four full days and nights. Finally, after dark on New Year’s Eve, an elaborate vodou ceremony was held. At its climax—St John says—Claircine was strangled, flayed, decapitated and dismembered. Her body was cooked, and her blood caught and kept in a jar."

Another reason for elite fascination with Haitian ritual may be its ancient quality. National Geographic cites estimates that the tradition could be up to 6000 years old:

"Voodoo, meaning "spirit," may be one of the world's oldest ancestral, nature-honoring traditions, according to Mamaissii Vivian Dansi Hounon, a member of OATH, the Organization of African Traditional Healers in Martinez, Georgia. Some anthropologists estimate that voodoo's roots in Benin—formerly Dahomey—West Africa may go back 6,000 years"

In this case, much like Gurdjieff's sacred dances, the techniques of dissociation eventually used/studied by the CIA and modern ritual abuse groups may have had incredibly ancient origins.

One 'Athiest blog' points out the a documented connection between Haitian Voudoo and *Ritual child abuse and killings.' The article cites a "UN Committee Concerned About Child Trafficking For Religious Rituals," via an article from Sputnik. The AFP article also cited in the blog post has since been deleted and is not archived on any platform I could find.

The AFP article was said to have stated: "We're concerned about reports that hundreds of children have been abducted from their families in Africa and trafficked to the UK, especially London, for religious rituals," said Kristen Sandberg, head of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child." The author of the blog writes: "The article says that British police have reported many cases of child torture and abuse for witchcraft rituals. It then goes on to list off a few such cases in more detail."

The blog author then cites the original UN article, which has also since been deleted and not archived:

"The Committee is strongly concerned that thousands of children continue to be trafficked every year in the State party, particularly for sexual exploitation and labour, and it expresses its deepest concern about reports that hundreds of children have been abducted from their families in Africa and trafficked to the State party for brutal religious rituals, such as the so-called voodoo and juju rituals..."

"The Committee urges that the State party strengthen the capacity of law-enforcement authorities and judiciary to detect and prosecute trafficking of children for labour, sexual and other forms of exploitation, including for religious rituals. The Committee further recommends that the State party enact a specific legislation on child trafficking in accordance with the Optional Protocol and the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, especially Women and Children (UN Palermo Protocol) and ensure that the crime of child trafficking is defined consistently and prosecuted throughout the State party. "

I hope that by providing these limited examples, some understanding can be gained on the physical focus of ritual abuse practices and MKULTRA type abuse techniques, and the lessons these practices have taken from ancient ritual practices, especially 'sacred' dance. The "body work" techniques like dance, Watsu, and sensory deprivation are a connecting thread that run through most practices of this type regardless of their aesthetic. It joins together the most ancient rites with modern intelligence agency interest in traumatic mind control practices, and it form a reliable focus for further research.

I hope that the guttural screams in the dark are heard, that the shot is fired loud enough, that we can pull the string on the bow taught enough to shatter the silence surrounding ritual abuse.
