There is a need for the military industrial complex to thrive. People with power need wars. There is also massive levels of incompetence, bureaucracy and political garbage.

There are things that cannot be effectively brute forced. The military industrial complex needs to do stuff and spend money. I've seen videos of using F-22 to take out lone sniper(s) after having shots fired. F-22 Vs Snipers! This isn't conspiracy. This is stupidity. This is what happen when you move from free markets.

There are crisis actors and media trying to get ratings and regulators trying to come up with new regulations (or else how'd they eat at night?). There is also the PC culture:

In most Asian countries killing terrorists will be celebrated as heroic. In Sri Lanka the terrorist leader who even had a small Airforce, AA guns, quasi-submarines was killed by military (he lost a piece of his skull) people celebrated it like new year.

I'll have to dig too much into psychology to explain why these terrorists do what they do. Just remember that higher intelligence is correlated with lower violence. We are talking about sick degenerates. Not rational people. Also they are the kind of people who'd stone their own children in the name of honor
