The Mcdonalds aspect is the direct result of the ludicrous push by idiot politicians to buy votes by increasing minimum wage beyond what is sustainable. Once that can of worms is opened there is sadly no going back.
Although judging by the crud under the fingernails of the surly git who served me the last time I was in a fast food joint, I'd rather have a bot prepare my food thank you very much.
