YouTube, the largest Internet video management company in years, has announced its latest figures and achievements.

Susan Wojcicki, the company's executive director, revealed on her official blog a set of figures and illustrations about the YouTube platform, noting that the platform attracts more than 1.5 billion active users per month, almost one out of every five people in the world use YouTube per month. To illustrate, Google calculates them.

The report also noted that most users spend more than an hour a day watching YouTube content from mobile devices.

"Youtube Red" and "Youtube TV" are the main contributors to this increase. The company is also expected to launch new services to support virtual reality and enhanced viewing technologies and provide more tools and options for content creators on the platform.

It is noteworthy that the platform achieved in 2013 more than one billion active users per month, up this figure despite the fierce competition from Facebook, which reached 1.71 billion active users monthly in the past months and is expected to reach 2 billion in the near future.
