Pakistan army called on to stop 'blasphemy' clashes in Islamabad

Pakistan's government has called for troops to be deployed in the capital, Islamabad, after violence broke out during protests by Islamists.

Around 200 individuals were harmed before when security powers endeavored to scatter an Islamist sit-in at the Faizabad Interchange - a key expressway.

That operation has now been suspended.

The dissenters have been hindering the interstate for a little while, requesting the sacking of Law Minister Zahid Hamid whom they blame for disrespect.

Pakistani media report that demonstrators likewise softened into the pastor's living arrangement up Punjab region. Mr Hamid and his family were not in the building.

The dissents have spread to different urban communities, including the southern port of Karachi.The Pakistani government authorised the deployment of the army in Islamabad on Saturday evening.
