Although it is a common misconception, ostriches do not actually bury their heads in the sand to avoid predators. It only appears that ostriches do this in the wild, leading to the denial metaphor used today to describe a person who is ignoring reality.
Horse Blinders
Another way to describe people who choose to ignore the sometimes harsh realities of life is that they are wearing horse blinders. In real life, horse blinders are used in horse racing in order to prevent the horse or horses from seeing other horses around them which could scare them. Sometimes people are said to have horse blinders when ignoring their surroundings so that their personal daily lives are not affected or altered.
The Shoes of Empathy
It is very easy to judge others without ever attempting to understand them or their plight. It takes very little effort to not care, and for many of us it is the easy way out. The more noble path is difficult since it requires us to place ourselves metaphorically in other peoples' shoes in order to better understand them and their situation. 'To walk in their shoes' in order to inspire empathy, understanding and compassion, for some of those shoes have taken tens of thousands of steps and traversed thousands of miles for a taste of so called Freedom.

Hi @ streetstyle We have to understand what people is passing before talk about them or make any judgment, i know many people that ignore the real life and just see the life from their high chair that's awful because there is not a better way to solve problem of any town that sharing time with people. Sometimes in life if we don't face the scariest of our fears they may still continue to haunt us, I'm other words, in my opinion I dont think humans need horse blinders, they need to see their enemies, face them and fight them to finish.

People don’t want to think about the rough things in life. We don’t like to think or talk about death, separation, loss, hunger, depression, or even environmental disasters. We believe that by speaking of them, we are going to open some kind of Pandora’s box which we won’t be able to handle, nor close. The important fact that we seem to be missing is that you can’t accept or understand something you don’t think about.

Broad minded people dont judge a person easily . But narrow minded people who cant think properly judge others by looking at their appearance, their gesture, expression etc..instantly. Judging people instantly without knowing them and understanding them properly is totally wrong. People our judged irrespective of their gender,though women our judged more . People are judged mostly by their appearance eg. A woman who wears short skirts are judged to be characterless and a man who dresses up like a swag is judged to be a jerk, playboy etc. People judge others by their behaviour eg. A girl or a boy who talks or mingles with the opposite sex alot is considered to be characterless. Women and men are stereotyped like this and this stereotypes have been registered in our minds and thus people keeping all this in mind judge others. Its sad to know that even well educated people judge others without knowing anything. People should be a little broadminded and not judge a person immediately, instead should try to understand the person and their situation . A man who shows anger is considered to be a very rude and heartless person ,he is judged immediately but he could have had a past that made him like that, a wise man understands this and doesnt judge him , instead he tries to understand the person deeply and help him out . Its very wrong to come to a conclusion about a person before knowing him completely.
