US citizen released by North Korea

in #news7 years ago

US citizen Otto Warmbier, a 22 year old student from Cincinnati, Ohia was finally released after more than a year in a North Korean prison.

He was in North Korea as a tourist with Young Pioneer Tours when he was arrested on 2 January 2016. After what have probably been a bizarre trail, he was sentenced to 15 years in a labor camp.

His parents Fred and Cindy told CNN back in May that they had had no contact with their son for more than a year.

His parents, Fred and Cindy reports that "Otto has left North Korea and is on his way home now"

They were quoted by The Washington Post saying that "Otto was given a sleeping pill shortly after the trial in March, and has been in a coma ever since"

US government spokes person made no comment about Mr. Warmbiers health condition.

Rumors have it that Dennis Rodmans visit to North Korea could have helped the release of Otto Warmbier, but according to Rodman himself, he is there as a personal friend of the  Kim Jong-un  and to promote basketball, rather than negotiate political issues.

Whether Rodman played a role or not, let's pray that Otto Warmbier will soon get out of his coma.

There are still three more US citizens detained in North Korea.

There is no way Dennis Rodman had any play in his release... If he did the U.S has an NBA basketball star super spy on their side.

I agree, that sounds WAAAAY to weird.
