Hello Steemians it seems many many Hospitals and GP surgeries have been forced to shutdown or turn away hundreds of patients after they were hit by probably the biggest cyber attack yet which started to occur on Friday.

But when I say big I do mean massive as this cyber attack operation is part of a much wider a international attack well actually it started attacking 74 countries and the count as now hit 100 countries, this is a global problem!!

Interestingly during the beginning it hit hospitals pretty bad breaching also its communications.
This meaning medical staff at many hospitals were forced to rely on handheld radios to communicate some were told that their door entry and heating systems may not work some of the equipment is also internally networked and that function has been disabled.

The Barts Health group who manages major central London hospitals said it had activated a major incident plan and had canceled its routine appointments.

So what the heck is this Ransomware and why is cryptocurrency being painted so badly to many thousands of people?

Well the message received on devices says your computers are now under their control and pay a certain amount of money.

The computers display a message saying users must pay a $300 ransom...
In bitcoin! Yes thats right $300 Bitcoin!! in order to retrieve files and gain functionality.

So many are screaming that the attack is responsible for delaying emergency patient care and obviously endangering lives which brings anger to hackers and their so called Bitcoins.

In a statement the NHS Digital said its investigations continue but there is no evidence that its patient data had been lost to these hackers, they also mentioned that this attack was not specifically targeted at the NHS and its affecting many many organisations across a random range of sectors.

After the initial attack there were many reports similar to many organisations all across Europe, for example Spain said a large number of its companies like telecommunications giants had also been suffering the same fate.

Oh dear and many are now hating on cryptocurrency or just discovering what it is but others said this is exposure for all cryptocurrency, correct but at what cost...
