Koala found on top of a drilling rig in Adelaide, 30 metres (90 feet) high. She had to be rescued by firefighters who used a crane to get her down! Source
I just saw this news post and thought it was worth sharing because it's something that would only happen in Australia! Anyone else think she looks like she's got a bit attitude?
"She was a bit reluctant. But we did manage to convince her that it was in her best interests come down," Anne Bigham from South Australian Fauna Rescue told the news outlet. ~ MashableAustralia
Doesn't sound like she gave the firefighters a big cuddle when they rescued her :)
Despite their cuddly appearance, koalas can be pretty grumpy. When I was a kid, we went camping and witnessed two koalas in a tree having a fight. It ended when one koala was shoved out of the tree and fell to the ground... it promptly got up and climbed back up the tree.
The next photo is one of mine. This is a koala we got to meet on the South coast of NSW. We discovered that koalas smell very strongly of Eucalyptus oil... I wonder why?!?
I hope you have an un-bear-abaly good day... Steem on!

You'd probably look pissed off too if you'd climbed up all that way only to realise there wasn't a single gum-leaf in sight!
Lol, that's very true :D
