Russia's President Vladimir Putin inaugurated a 19-kilometer long bridge on its own. As a result, Russia has directly linked with the controversial Crimea. The name of the bridge is 'Crimea Bridge'.
The bridge has been built on the Kerch system. It cost $ 3.69 billion. It's the longest bridge in Europe. The bridge was supposed to be finished in December but the bridge was completed before the scheduled time. Construction of the bridge started in 2015. There are four road lanes and lines for two railroads.
On Tuesday, the Russian President inaugurated the bridge with an orange truck. In the past, the ferries used to move in this way. But it was dependent on the weather. Ferries were often blocked due to bad weather.
The bridge was built to establish direct road connectivity between Russia and Crimea. The local people named the bridge as 'Putin Bridge'. The 19-kilometer long bridge is Europe's longest bridge. Russia's public media calls this bridge as the best construction of the century.
