What kind of family drama leads to this? Especially in Wisconsin. I can't believe that politics are dividing families now. It makes me think of what it must been like in the Civil War. Brother against brother. Mother versus daughter. Father vs grandfather. When will the pendulum swing back toward the center?

In the Civil War, there were clans of oligarchs against other clans of oligarchs. Poor north attacked the rich south. There was no question of the liberation of slaves. It appeared as a PR move not in the first year of the war. Whole battalions and regiments of slaves fought for the South. There was a struggle for money.
There was no family where the son was for the South, and the father for the North. Brother for the South, the second brother for the North. Clans fought for money.
When we have something like a goal or a common enemy our country will come together again. It would be nice to unite for rebuilding our infrastructure. Honestly I think the only thing that will unite our country will be a threat of some kind. Maybe a global extinction event type asteroid.

Again, thank you for the reply. The best way to understand what Christianity is supposed to be is laid out in the Sermon on the Mount Matthew chapters 5, 6, and 7.
