Remember that letter the NYT printed a few days back from a member of the 'Trump resistance' in the Whitehouse itself? I wrote my own take on the whole affair and posted it on Medium. Within hours the post was suspended and very shortIy after that I was kicked off Medium.
What does that say?
Firstly it says, to me, that Medium is rapidly transforming itself from what should be an independent blog site into yet another mouthpiece of MSM lies and propaganda. I'll predict that a year from now the only posts you'll be able to read on Medium will be those judged safe by our masters...i.e. Atlantic Council, NYT, Washington Post - in other words the same old same old with maybe just a couple of independent journalists like Caitlin Johnstone and Umar Haiq graciously allowed to post stuff to keep up an entirely fake front of free-minded 'edginess'.
Secondly it says that maybe my little piece, in all it's foul-mouthed satire, was maybe just a little bit too close to the truth and put somebody's nose seriously out of joint...the article in question is below, have a read and see what you think...
So, the NY Times has come out with an op-ed — written (if you can apply such a word to such childish scrawl) by a ‘Trump insider’ (apparently).
The Op-Ed describes (in the most simple possible terms, using lots of short words and simple sentences just to make sure that you, one of those dumb Ordinary People, get it…) how evil Big Bad Wolf Donald is, what a danger he represents to America and the world, how unpredictable, thick, irrational, dumb, ignorant he is (guys…hey…let’s not lay it on too thick, okay?).
But…fear not, America! For this brave, patriotic American ‘insider’ who has exposed The Donald as Satan Himself is here to save the day — he/she is, in fact, part of a brave and secret underground resistance fighting against the Nazis (sorry, Trump), an insider within the Trump administration dedicated, along with other brave resistance fighters, to restraining Trump, truth, justice and The American Way.
What a load of absolute fucking bollocks.
If you believe this made-up shite then, sorry, but your brains are in your ass…
I mean, come on…to believe this stuff you’d also have to believe that….
• There are politicians and their cronies/toad-like familiars working in Washington who actually give a shit about America — surely by now you’ve realised that America is a violent, abusive oligarchy, run by the rich, for the rich and they don’t give a shit about you? You know that…don’t you!!??
• Unsourced, unsubstantiated, anonymous shit written by the office tea boy in between his coffee break and having a wank in the toilets does not constitute journalism — it constitutes made up shit written by the office tea boy in between etc etc…
• The Deep State getting rid of an elected President is a really,really good idea…’cos. yeh, sure…if (by some miracle) Bernie Sanders becomes president and if (by some miracle) he actually tries to introduce some left-wing policies (dare I say…socialist…mmm…no, actually, I don’t…) you think that the oligarchy’s Deep State is going to say ‘oh, what a nice chap this Bernie is, such a change after that dreadful Donald’? Are they bollocks. They’re going to say ‘fucking commie, he’s gotta go…let’s use the same tricks we did with Trump and get the pinko bastard out of office’.
• The MSM is decent, honest and truthful and not the lying, amoral propaganda ring-piece of the billionaires that own it, spewing out hateful, manipulative, dangerous lies 24 hours a day.
