... and I'm sick of this platform being used and abused by people who play the victim card any time a platform gives them the boot. Offer them a solution and they just walk all over you.
I made a video on YouTube about that exact point you've made and it was my most disliked video by 90% thumbs down. I basically challenged the victimhood and said something like "ok, let's assume you're being censored by these organisations, WHY NOT ABANDON THEM AND COME OVER TO THIS ONE OVER HERE". I even got a couple of death threats. It's crazy.
There needs to be a boogieman, a victim, and then the crowd of people willing to throw money at the victim. That's the business model boiled down to the basics. Slogans like "fight the good fight" and all that is just marketing. It's similar to professional wrestling back in the day, in many ways. If they create a 'bad guy', people weren't supposed to know that evil villain is just an actor with a family and kids at home. And nobody was supposed to know the good guy with the big muscles was just on drugs.
Victimhood is the new sexy. The guy that went to the bar complaining about his wife to a pretty woman used to be the loser.

And it's probably worth mentioning, this gentleman would be making far more money if he encouraged more members of his community/following to come here, stake tokens and support his work that way rather than asking for donations. Fans and followers of his work (such as yourself) would no longer be throwing their money away. Fans and followers of his work would earn curation/consumer rewards. Fans and followers of his work could earn when he's around upvoting comments. Fans and followers of this work could earn upvoting one another's comments. All those earnings go back into creating larger votes for his work. And when one offers consumers more incentives, one attracts more paying consumers.
He's shooting himself in the foot by not being here, all while directing traffic away. If he did it the other way around, he'd be setting himself up with a solid revenue stream that continuously grows well into the future. And his content here would be jammed with actual supportive engagement, rather than looking like a barren wasteland.

My points:
I (and so many others here) already are on these other platforms. It isn't like we are going to ditch Hive for one of them.
He is not saying anything about the platforms (better, will pay you, etc). Other than (the content is posted there).
So many others on Hive talk of these platforms, promote them, push people to them, beg them to try them out, etc.
I agree with some of the points for (an advertisement) but smacking that hammer down without clarification on others just looks like this guy is not in some club.
