Sometimes some of them might have been in the ivory tower for long possibly having failed to understand a hard basic fact that the reality is dynamic and ever changing.....Some of them might have thought too high of themselves....

So those arrogant in the ivory tower, sorry for being too blunt, to me, are rhetoric rather than pragmatic...
