Bots or people comment like that, and then bots or humans sometimes reward them with upvotes to generate interest in the thread. It's kind of rare for people to actually want to interact with each other or read an article or watch a video, otherwise it's all usually driven by the desire to get some sbd. Welcome to social media distilled down to a series of numbers.
