Wamena, -A cargo plane belonging to Jayawijaya Dirgantara airline trgelincir when landing at Wamena airport, Papua, resulting in one of the engines released.
Boeing 737/200 aircraft with registration number PK-JRM carrying bulog rice, food, cement and other cargo weighing 12,557 kg that fly from Jayapura.
Upon landing at Wamena airport at 14.07 WIT (16.07 GMT), the landing initially took place normally, Wamena airport organizing committee spokesman Ferdy Halattu told reporters at Wamena airport office on Friday (25/5).
But then one of the engines slips off and falls, causing the plane to roll off. "At the touch or the second touch occurs, the right engine is off and the plane turns left, then into the grass, approximately 800 meters from the landing, and stops after approximately 800 meters, "said Ferdy Halattu also reported as Yuliana Lantipo, a journalist in Papua.
"There were no casualties," he said. According to him, the plane was flown by a pilot, a co-pilot, and a technician, and did not carry passengers.
After the incident, the Wamena Airport immediately cleared the runway which contained debris of aircraft debris, as there were still four flights from Wamena to Jayapura which had been delayed.
