The Canadian Supreme Court, in a 7-2 decision on 28JUN17, is legally requiring Google to delete certain search results from appearing on its site worldwide. In a first of its kind decision, a country has now determined what can appear on the internet for the entire world. The Supreme Court acknowledged that the internet is a global entity with no set institution to determine its laws, and stated their decision would not hinder free speech but it will help put an end to piracy.
