Finally Some Hope
The all knowing overlords in government have finally deemed it okay to allows some of us peasants to return to work and generate tax money, about a week ago. I literally feel like one of those builders in Age of Empire or Warcraft game where you can just click on them to stop working. It's better late than never, unfortunately the overarching fear of the Wuhan virus, which the media is mostly responsible for, is veryevident. The streets are still fairly quiet with hardly any traffic, which is a good indication that folks have not gone back to work as of yet. This is however far more prevalent in the more in middle and upper class residential areas as well as business areas. The difference between that and lower income areas and more industrial areas is night and day, and it's been like this for weeks. People who live from pay cheque to pay cheque can not standby and do nothing as they are financially obliterated.
Luckily after weeks of delay, the South African High court has ruled the current Lockdown regulations are unconstitutional and invalid, and government has 14 days to correct this.
"Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely." - John Dalberg-Acton
The court judgement has been appealed by the ruling party, but as far I know, the ruling stands as is and if the minister and head of our Covid task force Dlamini-Zuma, does not appear before the court in the allocated time, the current lockdown regulations are struck down. Most of South Africa are hoping that this happens, but knowing the government, they will probably present an appeal at the very last minute or reduce the lockdown to stage 2 at the last minute. Let's hope that justice sides with the people this time.
Lastly I wanted to give an alternative view to the whole BLM protests happening in the States, because there has been some insane things happening, like people kneeling before protester as some virtuous sign of remorse, as if this is some how fighting racism. All I have seen on social media, is people chastising others for saying "all lives matter" and shaming those who do so, which is nothing more than thought policing. People should not think the same, and accusing those who are actually being inclusive by say "all" for being racist is just madness, please stop!

Apt quote, if the shoe fits wear it, my head is spinning from road traffic noise, actually got used to the peace and quiet. As for the rulings being implemented here is SA, most appear to a some excellent thumb sucking!
As for youngsters now complaining about their private schools, bollocks, they have been educated in those very R160k per year schools for ages! Where lives do matter is in the 'locations' where no food is getting through, no work, no money, no life, people need to get priorities right before lifting placards.
Got an itch, give it a PC name and raise a placard.
