The Syrian military has declared a halt in fighting in parts of the rebel-held Eastern Ghouta region outside Damascus.
The move came after Russia, an ally of the government, said it had reached an agreement with "moderate" rebels to de-escalate conflict in the area.
Analysts warn it is unclear whether the deal can be enforced.
Eastern Ghouta was one of four proposed "de-escalation zones" in a deal agreed between Russia, Iran and Turkey in May.
In a statement, the Syrian army said a cessation of hostilities in areas of Eastern Ghouta came into effect on midday local time on Saturday.
"The army will retaliate in a suitable manner to any violation," it said

Can't wait for the rebels to win one day and destroy the Syrian army that has been killing and bombing civilians for over 5 years.

I think it will be difficult to do so, now that trump has pulled the CIA program out of the country...

No offence but I don't think America was helping the slightest bit
In fact, they funded ISIS :)

I don't think they fund Isis, but I do think they are directly responsible for the vaccum that put them into power.

Pulling out of Iraq allowed them to be created. No doubt about it.

However, I can see the argument as well, disruption on the Middle East is just like the Cold War, an excuse for higher amount of military spending...

Yes agreed:)
But it's actually a fact that the US funds ISIS, not an opinion, you can find more information about it if you're interested. Lots of information is available on the internet. It's not just the US, but also some Middle Eastern countries as well.
Unfortunately, the USA is not the hero country that everyone thinks it is. That was my point :)
